firms with best intraday buying power to Money up ratio?

Don, thats a great way of putting it..tarders at prop firms are actually small business owners. they should be able to take money out of their own business whenever they want...there has to be another reason for the once per month and i FIND IT HARD TO BELEIEVE its due to simplicity...

    Chimera Capital---a problem ?

i know for a fact that someone trading for a small LLC is NOT protected by SIPC. the one who runs the LLC has SIPC protection for his own account which is then broken up into a bunch of sub accounts. technically the one who runs the LLC can keep the money and the sub account holders are left...

firms with best intraday buying power to Money up ratio?

Don. your traders profits are their profits correct? and you pay them when they request it cotrrect? why are some people on this forum so negative towards that practice? if you were a mechanic would you want to be paid once per month? traders should be paid at least twice per month...

my point is this: aside from the so called "paper work",how is a firm more at risk by writing a weekly check if the trader only takes out profits but always leaves in his initial deposit amount? i do not understand the risk part..whats the difference?

risktaker,if you are indeed a trader then you would know that not only did EWZ breakout intraday but also to a new 52 week high..so again, why the friggin sarcasm! you accomplish nothing with that kind of bs negativity.if anyone played this when i posted the breakout attempt, they would have made...

Pros that Blew out several times before success

why come down on the guy for asking a question. wtf ! answer the guys question or don't answer it at all. there are plenty of stories about guys blowing up..i would say that 99% of successful traders have blown up at one time or another. learning to lose and make a come back is great sort of...

    Chimera Capital---a problem ?

another reason you should DEMAND that you get paid more frequently is to protect yourself, suppose the firm goes under...at least you are taking some money out.everyone should DEMAND that they get paid more frequently or move to another firm. as i said, there is no additional risk to the firm...

    Chimera Capital---a problem ?

you are right,i started the thread in a way that seemed to point to a problem at chimera..that was unfair and should'nt have started the thread like that..the reason i said that about chimera is because as i said, the 2 LLC's i traded with always let us take our profits and these guys came from...

    Chimera Capital---a problem ?

they are defintely not bashing Chemera//in fact,i said they had good things to say..however,if a competing firm offers the same as Chimera but pay out more frequently, they will choose the other firm..this firm has been around for a while so its not some chop shop..since i was only with 2 LLC's...

    Chimera Capital---a problem ?

they did sign a contract and were aware of the payout schedule. that said, when they learned that our firm pays out whenever a trader requests, they became interested. after all,a good trader can rely on a once per month payout but what trader would'nt prefer to be paid once a month. also,as i...

    Chimera Capital---a problem ?

payout is simple when doing a fed wire. as far as risk-you only wire the profits and ALWAYS keep in your original deposit. where is the risk there? our firm payouts whenver a trader requests, they just eat the fee's...i must be in the dark because this is my second LLC and both pay out whenever i...

i was at an office in NY the other day and there were 5 or 6 guys there from Chimera..they had nothing bad to say but they were very unhappy with the monthly payout schedule so they were talking with the LLC i am with..they can get a payout whenever they want..why would Chimera or another LLC...

    Don Bright

Don, first off, thanks for being so honest and contributing so much to this board..my question is in regards to "pair trading". i went to the attachment you provided but have a few questions.. first off,an example that site gave was going long MSFT and short IBM..these are two software...

    Chimera Capital---a problem ?

i know a few guys who switched over to them..the BIG problem they have is that they only pay out once a month and these new(high volume)traders find that unacceptable..everything else is fine but when its all said and done,it comes down to the money you make and once a month does'nt cut...

Hey Scalpers, how do you enjoy trading against machines w/1 millisecond turnaround?

if you see 30k shares at 5 different levels, lets say 30.03, 30.04.30.05.30.06,and 30.07.why not do a quick smart swipe(assent offers it)/put in a smart swipe at 30.07 so you buy all 30k shares that are shown at an average price of lets say 30.05 because the size is at all different amounts at...
