Website for fundamental Analysis // comparison of equities.

Quality of a company is a subjective metric. perhaps it would make sense to find a service that provides tables and you build your own graphs based on how you weight the different criteria (fcf, leverage, rev growth, etc)

    Tesla Short Seller Backs Off

it’s not a cheap car. For me it was this or a Mercedes amg gt or a 2021 s-class (I was offered a launch spot). All were in the same ball park.

    Trading strategies vs computer games

Superficial similarities. The big difference is: software has infinite operating leverage. trading leverage is constrained by financial leverage. software has inherent edge (someone will pay you for your software if it’s decent enough). Trading does not.

    Tesla Short Seller Backs Off

as the owner of a Tesla and a lover of cars with a budding collection, I committed a sin and ordered a new Tesla. The cars are great. The only two problems with Tesla are the build quality is bad and the customer service is atrocious. But the car is so great that I am willing to forgo these. And...

Do you think this is the truth about day trading?

you can’t deny that there is a lot of luck in trading. Specifically we are talking about IB and FXCM Wall Street warriors. Not pit traders who have edge.

Do you think this is the truth about day trading?

i disagree. Other professions have a high certainty of success. That is if you do the right things the right way, you have a 95%+ chance you will be at least moderately successful. Trading has a very high degree of randomness. That is if you do the right things the right way, you only improve...

    Trading loss carryover

use the CPA. If done improperly, that loss can be a long term problem for you. Non-sequiter: if you are a bonda fide trader who is on mark-to-market, why would you hold a position for 6 months, not wanting to take a realized loss? Realized or unrealized, you will still pay taxes on it.

Backup Brokers - What do you do?

If a broker is down, unlikely you can quickly move funds so you have to keep both accounts permanently funded. However, to permanently have funds in 2 brokers (with two logins and two margin requirements to deal with), seems like a lot of work. Would the loss of productivity and margin capacity...

    The thousand-year-old business

japan has a culture of duty to the family. America does not. I have made a nice living buying companies that are 50 to hundred years old where the second or third generation is more interested in living in Florida than doing a proper days work. it’s also why we have retirement communities...

Transitioning from Retail Trading to Prop Firm?

My guess is that you will have a tough time differentiating yourself for a position that will pay you a salary up front or for a position that will set you up for a career (vs a churn 'em and burn 'em place). You are old (not completely malleable) and don't come from an exceptional background...
