    Does Anyone Believe IBM?

How does IBM do it? How do they have such nice and smooth earnings? Every company in the world is SLASHING their spending on everything, yet IBM is able to beat earnings and raise their guidance for the year. WOW! This is simply unbelievable. The SEC needs to look into IBM's reporting...

If onll the Fed would be a bit more Reserved...

Geez, all these half assed measures. When the hell are they going to start buying stocks and houses? I'm getting very impatient. Forget about jobs and rising incomes to support asset prices, just print some money and buy the assets. Sheesh. Yabba dabba doo!

    IB November interest

Beautiful, isn't it? Yet another page out of the government's book of Unintended Consequences. Seniors, endowments, charities, etc. will all be hurting for income. Yet the government is trying to 'stimulate' spending. Classic.

Interactive Brokers Closed All Open Positions

Here's the clincher: "I knew what was going on and ..........." Do you need to say anymore? There were 12 lanes of non stop traffic moving very fast. I ran into the traffic anyways and got hit by a truck. Stupid truck driver didn't stop for me. It's his fault.

Interactive Brokers Closed All Open Positions

Say, aren't you the guy who is always preaching about how the government should let the banks fail because they made stupid mistakes. Oh wonderful irony.

    Stay away from IB!!!

Walker on CN-BS ths morning.. "We need tough love and to make tough choices in Wash"

Pretty close. It seems the government is intent on "bridging" this collapse in consumer spending. But where does this bridge lead? To me, there's nothing on the other side. "If only houses would stabilize in value, all our problems would be over". But people would still be unable to...

Walker on CN-BS ths morning.. "We need tough love and to make tough choices in Wash"

Just plain wrong. What's needed is a bigger stimulus package. The government needs to "bridge" this collapse in consumer spending with their government spending. If the taxpayer is unable to borrow, then the government should borrow for them. If the taxpayer is unable to spend, then...

    Mauldin "Electing The Janitor-in-Chief"

Ooops, I cut off this last goodie by accident: What consumer spending there is has been fueled in part by credit card. Greg notes this uncomfortable piece of data: the second largest "merchant-vendor" for credit card use is now McDonalds. This suggests that many consumers are in serious...

    Mauldin "Electing The Janitor-in-Chief"

Here's the part I like: "FAR MORE 'telling' is the LOPSIDED degree to which Credit Card balance growth is 'contributing' to total growth in Consumer Loans, a sign of intensifying 'stress' on consumers, amid accelerating job loss, home price deflation, and equity-market paper wealth...

Load up on Visa and Mastercard

Too funny. "The credit card company can easily recoup losses on delinquents because of the collateral of the card user". What collateral did you put up for your card? You speak out of ignorance.

Baltic Dry Shipping Index Takes Steepest Decline In History

Excellent. When the numbers don't say what you want them to, just discard them. CPI too high, just change the numbers. Mark to market accounting creating losses, just get rid of it. M3 showing an uncontrolled expansion in the money supply, just don't publish it anymore. Next step, the...
