    Break-outs and pullbacks

NihabaAshi, I'm somewhat familiar with candlestick patterns(although have forgotten a lot of their names already) but a bit confused with your statements on volatility bars. If you would be so kind to clear my confusion as below. Thanks. 1) You mentioned with regards to CM69's 2nd chart...

    Break-outs and pullbacks

I find that when there are big players in it, volume is more readable. When there aren't any big players in it, volume is dangerous to be read and I try to stay out.

Thanks rickylc. So you usually do not take partial profits and willing to take a loss even in nice profit and you rather close all at EOD on the same day. Yeah, I meant Monday not Saturday. Inin shall look nice as a long. Good luck and hope you make plenty of $

Congrats on your trade 1 question on trade management . You initially bought Inin at $18.8 on 19/1/07. On 20/1/07, it actually crossed below your entry price. Did you take profits before price went below your entry price, partial profits or do you not adjust your stop loss (even if stop...

Spydertrader's Jack Hershey Futures Trading Journal

Ezzy, A bit confused here. If the volume is black, its based on the current bar's price closing higher than the previous bar's closing right? We are not talking about current bar's closing versus current bar's opening to determine whether volume bar is black or red? Thanks.

Most stocks that have big news headlines for the day will meet your volume criteria, I would think so.

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

I've read about 40 pages 1 shot and as yet I've not found what I was looking for. Can someone be so kind as to answer me the below. Thanks. Edit: I understand that Romik is/was trying out this 'flip' or SAR method. Am I right in assuming that Romik is trading the edges of a whipsaw method ie...

does volume head price or price lead volume?

IMHO, if one really wants to understand price and volume r/s better, learn to read Level II and TS and look at charts at the same time. Don't only look at 1 particular stock, but look at the stock movement in relation to similar stocks and indices/futures also. Do it on an intraday basis. Then...

The adventures of a new Trader

CM69, Did you adjust your stop loss for Sndk and/or other stocks? Its because I noticed Sndk actually hit below your stop loss of $43.8 a few times between your buy date and sell date. Noticed this thing previously on another of your other stocks too. Thks

    firewall

Was thinking of installing Sygate personal firewall but noticed that Sygate has been acquired by Symantec. It seems that Symantec does not respect one's privacy. Thus, is it still safe to download Sygate? Kerio firewall was also another choice but there's some bugs in it? Thanks.
