    Kudos to MMs

All the previous mentioned stocks are going bankrupt. Greed is no good at all. We were all not satisfied with regular profits and now we end up with bankruptcies. When will GS get a lifeline?

It took a couple of months more, but the company is close to bankruptcy now. DB downgrading now already :-S to zero. I'm only afraid how many companies will join them in their bankruptcy. Only some of the auto parts stores are performing well because of the huge secondary market.

    Another hedgefund down

Look at the charts at the open today. Many spikes up and down in many stocks with high volume (BBY for instance). It seems to be that someone was seeking alpha and found omega (his end). Market-neutral long/short hedgies have to sell instantly their longs if they are forbidden to have...

One month after BSC. 28 days after FED plans... What will happen?

One month after the severe drop in BSC and after the FED introduced a 28 days plan. Will credit markets detoriate much more?

    BB Uncrowned King...

Forced to hike the rates. With core-rate stable and second round effects leading to inflation twice as high as expected. Remember the days of Volcker. Actually we saw a spike to 1328 initial reaction. Seems to be some kind of manipulation (1336). Looking blowoff today in the markets.

What Time Frame Do You Use For Day Trading

3 minute time frame for intraday trading and daily frame for less active (day)traders. Open a chart and look at the 3 minute chart of NQ, ES, SPY, YM. Add MACD and watch... 3 minute rulezzz the waves.

    One week Crude Oil Target

140$ Oil is moving up exponentially, like the Dow in the '90s. Within a couple of years oil is above 200$ and Dow at 7k. Within a decade 1000$ oil

    GM marketmaker analphabetic

Well who might be interested in a GM bailout? When compared to Bear Stearns the assets are less swappable and there are fewer competitors who can handle a buyout of GM. Even if they do a break up of the enterprise there is no money left at the table because of the loans. While Bear Stearns...

If I had a hedgefund, I would buy the full offer with puts 5k take over some of there debt and let them file for bankruptcy immediately... Naughty bear.

Nice puts 17,5 april for only 27 cents. With Delphis bankruptcy and GMs billions of loans supplied, GM is going to flip to 10 within a couple of days.

    Next buzz: Dollar-carry trades?

or is it "discount buy-out"? Alitalia, BSC, next to come Citigroup, UBS, Lehmann Couple dollars / share must be enough.

    Goodbye treasury liquidity

With one or more primary brokers down, some nasty things will happen to liquidity. That isn't really what the FED expected, is it?

    Next buzz: Dollar-carry trades?

After the yen-carrytrade era, what's the next buzz? Getting money for free at the FED and investing in (once again) silver and gold? What are your estimates?

    Goodbye treasury liquidity

Let's say: 60 million households, with a 300k$ house. That makes about 18.000 billion $. But guarantee holds only for better rated. But still a vast amount of money-guarantee. Number comes quite close to US total stockmarket capitalization... Nice guarantee! Okay, numbers are estimates

    Goodbye treasury liquidity

Don't you see the link? Never seen estimates of total residential mortgages? If they privatised FNM and FRE they only had to guarantee part of the collapsing market. By setting up this type of policy it looks like they want to guarantee the complete market... Quite a nice guarantee. Ambak...

    Goodbye treasury liquidity

If it's possible to swap higher rated bonds for lower ones at the same price, everybody will do so. Within a few days, billions of bonds will be switched to the FED or US government in exchange for a claim on the US government. So: We become more or less shareholders in the State and we are back...

    Goodbye treasury liquidity

The Fed announced a new temporary lending program that will allow participants in the bond markets to swap the mortgage-backed securities that they can't currently sell for highly liquid Treasurys that they can. Some guys will be really busy today... Mass-swaps and squeezing liquidity out of...

Three Strikes = OUT 12k Dow

Looks like in a couple of years we Dutch can exchange Paramaribo once again for New York with its huge dept. Everybody got already acquainted with that place after the Holloway-case.

Three Strikes = OUT 12k Dow

In terms of rational behaviour, it's the stupiest thing to let people expect ratecuts (like Bernanke does). When everybody is expecting lower interest rates in the future, everybody is postponing consumption today. So instead of saying: Hello, why should you consume today? He must say: I'm going...
