    Ewj: elliott wave

Notice that the Nasdaq did not make a new low, as the SPX did. This is a feather in the Bull's cap for now. Also take a look at Dow Jones Transports. They not only have completed 5 down into early and mid-July with a successful "double-bottom" test, but also appear poised to be heading...

Well, you know how it is with the EWT gang . . . They can't even get their WEEKLY or MONTHLY counts right! According to them we have either just finished up completing Wave C of IV (at 1200 SPX) and are about to head into Wave V and new highs with us currently being in some sort of a Wave (2)...

Range bound with slight upward bias

With all due respect, this has been going on for awhile now. You just figured this out? :D

Just saw a "glimpse" of the latest from EWT . . . Suffice to say that in their eyes, the count is bullish as long as 1253 is not broken. ( target 1325 for measured-move ). Possible dip down to 1234 to complete a flat wave "b" or "ii", but only a move below 1253 would argue for this formation.

Could very well see yet another small "shoe" to drop with a measured-move of 13.50 points ( subtracted from today's high of 1263.90 ) to give a downside projection of: 1250.40 SPX NOTE: The 13.50 points comes from the initial drop off of Thursday's highs at 1284.93 down to 1271.42

Nice break out rally in Crude

Can anyone recommend a real-time newsfeed that concentrates on the energy markets without costing an arm and a leg? Any suggestions?

Dow really a good indicator of the economy?

The Dow is a narrow index which is skewed towards multi-national companies ( such as IBM and CAT ) that see a large portion of their earnings coming from a weaker dollar. I'd stick with the S&P.

Just got within 60 cents or so of the 61.8% retracement on SPX.

cramer calls market bottom+ new bull...market tanks

I think that we might just find support at a fib retracement a bit lower from today's close and then make yet another 50 point run for a "measured-move" up above 1300, with possible targets of 1309 / 1316 before rolling-over again. It will be interesting to see how the market "reacts" to...

Schwarzenegger orders cuts amid fiscal crisis, 22,000 jobs cut.

It's not just getting lean and mean, but also investing in our Educational System and giving citizenship to all of those engineers that come over from Asia to work in Silicon Valley on H-1 Visa's. We no longer have any engineering "base" here in the U.S. - - - These are the people that we...

It must be "Happy Hour" over there cause the chart on CHK only goes down to $35, not $25. Perhaps your eyeballs are a little RED, my friend? Here's a chart of UNG ( Nat-Gas ETF ). Given your "impairment" I won't hold you to any predictions at this time.:D

    Greenspan Interview - CNBC

Excellent news my friend! I'm learning all I can about these shale formations like Marcellus, Haynesville, Balkken, Barnett, etc. Can't wait to listen to the Chesapeak CC tomorrow morning at 9AM EST. Seems like the horizontal drillers are a great way to play it, among the deep offshore...
