    UBS make ridiculous market prediction

I'm talking about TRADING. Not "investing". There's a big difference. A distinction that seems to get lost on a lot of ET posters.

ES 242 is sadly in the works!

Rather than have this in the TRADING forum, why not start your own Journal??? Just an idea.

Anybody else short US 30 Bond

10 year Treasury at 2.72% with inflation at ZERO. That seems about right to me.

    UBS make ridiculous market prediction

Who cares? How does this effect your TRADING??? The S&P just rallied 30 handles in the last hour . . . did you catch any of that?

    Ewj: elliott wave

The market acts well. I'm seeing a lot of commodity type stocks bounce back up REAL HARD here and crude is finding a bid and climbing back. That will support the SPX "Big time" Just traded 858.05 SPX. :)

Yet another measured-move to the upside off fo the 7AM "ISM-number" low. Now time for the crude inventory report; expecting +1.7 million barrels.

ES 242 is sadly in the works!

You must be a "youngster". :D Prechter has been changing his primary count time and time again since 1993. Anyone that actually followed him shorting the market from back then has gone BK.

2:30PM lows hold with the re-test at 3:10PM Pretty nice rally back up! :)

    Ewj: elliott wave

Paulson just spoke. The market always heads down when he speaks . . . and now the Opco banking analyst is about to be interviewed on TV, Meredith Whitney. She has been incredibly BEARISH on the banking sector, ( and spot on ) and now looks for continued lines of credit being pulled from...

    About the Fed Reserve......

FYI . . . The loan needs to be made FIRST before the FED prints the money . . . Contrary to what many ET posters believe. $7.7 trillion in "pledges". But until the money actually becomes a loan, the money is not printed.

    LLL: Strong Buy

Got pushed down to 64.07 on the weaker opening . . . Now rallying back and trading -$1.00 at 66.17 as the Dow is still -390 points. Buy the dips.

    Ewj: elliott wave

FYI: Crude is off $3.20 and Merrill put out a downgrade on most of the Oil Service and Drillers this morning . . . OIH is off 10%.

Black Friday: Americans shop like there is no tomorrow

I disagree. That's actually part of a very bullish economic process that will create demand for increases in inventory in the future.

    Most interesting and insightful point.

***Citibank Internal MEMO......in their own words***

Oh, the latest Fed balance sheet data as of Nov. 26th is wrong? That's pretty funny! Your reading comprehension is lacking . . . The $7.7 trillion is the total of ALL planned government PROPOSALS. The Bloomberg article simply highlights the cummulative total of all proposed federal...

***Citibank Internal MEMO......in their own words***

Thank you for your concern, but I can assure you that I am very much WIDE awake. As for your claim that the Fed has already "pumped over $7.7 trillion into who knows where . . . you have no idea what you are talking about. I see $2.1 trillion of assets on their balance sheet the week...

A long-term view of the market. Target 400?

Isn't that a rather simplistic assertion on your part . . . with total disregard how the "debt bubble" effects ( or does not effect ) specific industries? Sounds like a very dangerous "blanket" assumption being made.

Attn Permabulls: The credit crisis isn't over

Agreed. But there is nothing like being short at the bottom of a bear market and watching the S&P rally day after day on "bad" economic news to really teach you an important lesson! Resident ET perma-bears like S2007S and his ilk appear to me to be very young, with not much...

***Citibank Internal MEMO......in their own words***

Analyst Tom Fitzpatrick ( as do many ET posters conveniently ignore ) the fact that the world's central banks can also drain "liquidity" out of the banking system too. Does anyone really believe that the FED is just gonna sit on its hands and allow all of this liquidity to remain in the system...
