sh 83.22, stop to b/e already, pt new low ADD: stopped out 83.15, traling 10-tick stop. I know Schiz said never trail that close, but I worried about double bottom or HL bounce

We are playing a technical market. Fundamentals seem to mean nothing.

I made a quick $760 in my sim account shorting pre-news with a tight stop. Do any of you guys ever play the news this way? I wonder what kind of slippage I'd have got if it spiked up as much as it spiked down.

Days when technical price pivot points and price action work together so perfectly aren't all that common. All my trades were done before the opening 2 hours were over. What made it a record day was the fact I traded 5 lots. Someone posted a while back that trading 3 lots CL was similar to...

Because as a day trader I captured 11.5 pts the other day out of the early down move in less than 2 hours, so why should I care about the longer term trend (other than the fact the market's overbought and price falls faster than it rises on the daily chart).

Daily chart, approx double top, followed by very quick break down thru the 20-day MA, bumped its head near there on the attempt to bounce and failed. Short term breakdown signals, long term uptrend still intact.

Don't worry, Win, you'll make it up in volume :eek:

Ooohh, I'm jealous! I watched GMCR for weeks and weeks looking for a breakdown signal, then when I started trading futures I forgot all about GMCR. I never thought it would break that hard in one day! Nice work :D

And to think my 84.30 short had a a stop @ 84.43 and a target @ 83.79. And I exit b/e because it's not moving fast in my favor! Day trading this thing makes me more and more ADD.

I see the 50-tick drop coincided with my departure, and Schiz took advantage of that nearly flawless short signal (me leaving) :D Hang around a barber shop long enough, you're going to get a haircut. :p

Here's the plan for this kind of action: Put on positions in two accounts, long & short, set targets, no stops and come back in a couple days

LMAO! I see it all looks the same as before only 10 ticks lower. There is nothing I like about this. It's one of those chart patterns where if price falls hard, you say, "Damn I knew it was gonna do that!" and if price breaks out to the upside, you say "Damn I knew it was gonna do that!"...

This price action reminds me of why I take a long break this time of day. I'm stepping away from my desk (wink wink, nod nod).
