    The ACD Method

We may not be that far off because my ES NL did get down to -2 before heading the other way. However, I also use a modified 30 day NL which I really like to follow that does a volume adjustment. I really don't want to go into details about that but it's just a way of assigning importance to...

The ET Real-Time Chat is Coming Back

I actually do have one request. There should be a post minimum for someone to enter chat. I don't know what the number should be, but you are going to have guys creating new aliases simply to enter chat and harass people. I know we shouldn't "have" to do this but we all know it's going to...

The ET Real-Time Chat is Coming Back

We had an ignore feature in chat and some people used it and some claimed to use it. I would vote against it for the simple reason that one needs to make a grown up decision on whether they want to enter chat and if so, just be an adult and act like one. When too many people on ignore it's...

    The ACD Method

Well, the Fed is concerned about their credibility. And the way we define in economics parlance is credibility is determined by how closely policy matches the rhetoric. If the two don't match, then the value of the rhetoric goes to zero. So the Fed has to walk a tight line between what they...

    The ACD Method

Yeah I agree with all of that although I don't believe there has been a real "shift" in policy yet. Look at monetary policy around the world as one policy. Yeah the US has slowly shifted to a slightly upward bias in rates however the whole world is still pushing lower. In the world economy...

The ET Real-Time Chat is Coming Back

Wow, if you guys could only read the archives of some of the old chats from that room....priceless. We had a cast of characters in there you just can't buy. As far as suggestions, yeah so here is the issue. Room attendance was very cyclical. If you spread the place too thin you will have...

Is there any empirical study available about the profitability of option sellers vs option buyers?

The number is on their website. That large of a drawdown is not acceptable especially when people are paying you to avoid them.

    The ACD Method

Yeah, I think this bull market will end with a parabolic top at some point. I gave March/April as a time stamp but that's only because historically that is usually when liquidity peaks. If we don't see that spike then honestly then bull market runs for another 2 or 3 years. I don't think...

Is there any empirical study available about the profitability of option sellers vs option buyers?

Well, LJM also buys options too so they are not a great case study. They also had a 67% drawdown in 2008 that would have wiped most investors out meaning they would not have enjoyed the fruits of the recovery made after which is often the case.
