That has nothing to do with the FACT that last Tuesday's low at 815.69 SPX held today ( at 818.41 ) on very bad news. This kind of reaction would not have happened to bad news last week, or last month. The market is speaking. If you don't want to "listen" very well, that is of course ...

Kudos for an excellent thread. One of the few on ET worthy of any credit. Given that Tuesday's SPX low was re-tested today ( 818.41 ) and held with nearly a 60 handle rally into the close, I would bet dollars to donuts that the HIGH/LOW indicator IMPROVED a bit today. Just take a look at...

A 40 minute rally into 3PM and then a .382 pullback and yet another surge into new highs. Feels like short-covering, but impressive nonetheless given ALL of the bad news the last 2 sessions! that 818.41 SPX intra-day low feels like a MILLION MILES AWAY now. :D

The S&P has rallied roughly 30 handles in this move. There is just 30 minutes left in the trading session and the market is holding about 90% of the rally's gains. Just curious. Where is your stop-loss?

It's Friday and after trading as low as 64.84 the stock is heading back up to the highs of the week . . . trading as high as 68.17 with 45 minutes left in the session. Ran into minor resistance at the 21-day MA yesterday just above $69 LMT, GD, and NOC are trading up as a group as well.

Actually, it's been 40 minutes. And as far as the "buyer" buying in this manner, it feels as though it is short-covering. That is why it "feels" so indiscriminate, price-wise. For what it's worth, Bear market rallies have a tendency to start around 2:20 - 2:30PM and then PEAK around 3PM...

How much? What is your total equity committed to this position and where is your stop-loss?

Since you admittedly don't TRADE for a living, why you would feel that you have an ounce of credibility in regards to the final 90 minutes of this trading session is absolutely beyond me. Note: The defense stocks are exploding higher. ( LMT, LLL, GD, NOC )
