I'm going to mostly cash in Long-Term portfolio

I let individual stocks take me out of the market. I have a trailing stop on each position and sell when I get the signal. If the market is trending downwards I don't buy anything new. If the markets are trending upwards, which they are doing now I'll replace stocks that give a sell signal...

The meaning of risk. What does risk mean to you?

By skimming I meant reading only your posts. Like the markets the rest is noise. As for the multimedia I'm immune to that shit. It's a worthwhile journal. Good trades posted with the bad, better than most. I appreciate you taking the time to put it together. I try to read everything with an...

The meaning of risk. What does risk mean to you?

So I started to skim through the journal. Post 350 I found this Now wouldn't this be a great place to employ a stop loss? :D I have said many times before I would rather be in cash while the market went up without me than be in the market when it is going down.

The meaning of risk. What does risk mean to you?

Couple things. I'm sorry I haven't read your journal. I suppose I should but I'm a procrastinator and keep putting it off. One of these days. You also missed my point. You don't get out of a loss with a stop, you just keep the loss small and have capital available to put to work when another...

The meaning of risk. What does risk mean to you?

Why not? A stop loss or as like to refer to it a capital preservation exit or a quick loss prevents you from blowing up your account. I can't see how the instrument you trade makes any difference. The object is to get you the hell out before you have a chance to lose a bunch more.

As a consistent profit day trader...

I only follow rules I made for myself so if they are bad rules I'm still disciplined. I guess if you don't learn from your mistakes you're doomed.

As a consistent profit day trader...

What are you looking for? My reviews are simple. Did I follow the plan? If not why not. I can never find a good reason so for the most part I stick to the plan.

    Analyze my trades.

When you find yourself in a hole stop digging. Take your lumps and get out of the trade and start over. Don't make another trade until you have a written plan.

    Bitcoin and MSTR price correlation

I know. I'll be sayin, "you dumb shit, you don't have to be able to drop it on your foot to make money." But on the bright side if you are mistaken then I won't have lost any money. Over the years I have missed lots of opportunities but my drawdowns are fairly reasonable.

Why is GE (General Electric) down 20% in 10 trading days?

Why does it matter if you know the reason? People love a good story but knowing the reason after the fact isn't going to do anything for the price. Why is it recovering today? would it help if you knew?

Why is GE (General Electric) down 20% in 10 trading days?

That's probably the best answer you'll get. Does it really matter why? The perception of investors has changed. Profit taking. Someone has found an investment/trade they think will be better than the one they are holding. Someone needs the cash right now. Short sellers. Stop hunters. Pick one...

    Do my numbers make sense?

Well if you're kicking ass just keep kicking. I said they didn't make sense because with the win rate and a bigger profits than losses you should be doing fine That's a lot of positions. How many trades per day or week. Are trading costs a factor? No I'm not concerned about your financial well...

    Do my numbers make sense?

Risk to reward Now your numbers don't make sense. With a 93% win rate you should be kicking ass. Unless your position size is so small that the wins don't amount to much. How are you sizing your trades? What are you risking as a percentage of your account? Say you have a 100K account size...
