Yes but I think that's nonsense fear that by giving away "secrets" somehow lessons ones edge. We are each a drop in the ocean of the market. I would be wary of being mentored by anyone who would have the time and focus to take on an apprentice. Traders trade.

All time frames are arbitrary and relative. I use transactional (tick) charts and arrive at my tf's akin to a trip to the optometrist, I play with different ones until my signals appear most clear.

There was a time when there were a number of quality moderated educational sites but I know of none now. As long as there are beginner and struggling traders, there will always be cons and touts. Active traders have limited time and focus to engage in ongoing chatter.

You can get some ideas and some direction from books, forums and seminars but your real education will come from many hours of observing price development. You will begin to develop your own ideas which you can then test. There is really nothing much in the way of shortcuts...you have to do the...
