tenny we can only control what we can control and that's our plan, signals and rules. The world and the algo's will do what they do and we have no control over that.

You are in a position and two things can happen, news takes you in the direction of your trade or it hits your stop. In either case that's trading. Technical signals get you in, that's their role.

Some traders use trend lines because they represent potential areas of support and resistance. Do they always provide S/R, of course not but it is the job of a trader to determine if their use provides an edge....what time frames, drawn through what points etc.. That takes work and most quit...
