How can you even claim that technicals matter?

Well, that's not so easy either.

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

Trading is difficult. If it's a sideline for you, probably a frustrating waste of your time. (Trading isn't difficult for me, but it took a long time to get "up to speed" on it... as it does others.) Suggest you go about your business of building houses and invest the profits with some pro...

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

Waaaayyyy more than that, Buckeroo! I've had a few years of averaging >$15,000/day for the entire year. (I know, that's chicken feed compared to "real" money... but I live in a "one-horse town" and started my investment career with $25/mo bank draft into a mutual fund.)

    Rolling forward futures contracts

10 contracts is a $1.5 Million nominal position. Fretting over $500 potential slippage and $40 commission? I don't even know if there is such a thing as a "combo" order to try to save the slippage and commission. Even if there is, it's chicken feed compared to $1.5 Million.

Mine's 7200 sq ft. Yours bigger than that?

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

There you go. You've got it solved for you. If I were you, I wouldn't waste any more time on it.

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

First off, it does NOT go up more often than it goes down. It goes up exactly the same number of times it goes down in all markets. It's just that in a bull market, the "up moves" are larger. What I'm saying... is that if what you're looking at isn't working, it's because you're looking at it...

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

Hole? You're not a fisherman? You don't understand "fishin' hole"?

How can you even claim that technicals matter?

Anybody who "knows trading", understands that you don't "get it". You're "fishin' in a dry hole" and complaining that "the fish ain't bitin'". Of course you're not getting any bites where you're fishing. All needling aside... via TA you can when the probabilities favor a directional move...

    All the president’s disloyal men

Trump made the mistake of "not cleaning house"... he should have immediately replaced all of the old Obama-loyalites.

    Rolling forward futures contracts

You may roll your "position" forward, but you don't "roll the contract". You're "fretting over a tic-or-two". Unlikely you'll be on the right side of anything that small... if such a thing exists at all. Nothing to be gained by trying to do a "combo" order or trying to "time" it. Just close...

"...How can you even claim that technicals matter?..." Sounds like you're in the wrong line of work.

Finally got around to trying an impossible burger at BK. Meh. Won't be ordering another.

Tesla to $600. What's up with that?

Well, I dunno about that. Kind of like the diff between a "good woman" and a "fun woman". (Ideally, of course, you'd like to find both in the same package... doesn't always work out that way.)

Time Value Premium: What is it?

ITM options have intrinsic value. OTM options do not have intrinsic value, only time value. The "time premium" has some value. It's the value (price) for having the option available for "___ amount of time". If it's still not clear, compare the notion of time premium to the purchase of an...

We want legal immigrants they said...

Open borders and illegal immigration have nothing to do with what's righteous or good. It's a "means to a political end" that the Dems want so badly they are willing to destroy the country to achieve. :(

Tesla to $600. What's up with that?

Audi and BMW are stylish and I like driving them... but I wouldn't have one past the warranty period as they tend to be unreliable and expensive to maintain/repair. I wouldn't have Tesla for the same reason... but I understand the thrill of 0-60 in <3 seconds.

Tesla to $600. What's up with that?

I had a Mitsu Montero for 16 years. Was in the shop only to replace the window actuators (known to have only about a 10-year life) and the hydraulic clutch cylinder. Scotty says Mitsubishi has degraded also since their buyout.

Tesla to $600. What's up with that?

You are obviously a Tesla lover, so you're likely to deflect anything negative about the company or their cars. My view is formed from stories about them on the net... you know, "another one bursts into flame"... "another Tesla auto-pilot fails and kills somebody", etc. Read one story about...

Tesla to $600. What's up with that?

Shoot the messenger? (I know only one person with a Tesla, and he likes it. However, it hasn't had the paint fade, muffler fall off, or burst into flame... at least not yet anyways.)
