fluttrader, just choose a market and watch it on two different time frames. I choose the 1 and 5 min charts. 5 min gives me my context (you need a context) and the 1 min gives me the basis for my refined entries and exits.

newsstrike was free when i signed up a few years back. Its what I use, but they may be charging for it now. I think I've been grandfathered in to the free subscription.

Definitely helps to know what causes some moves. Most of the time its just normal ebb and flow but sometimes you'll get a large range and volume bar out of nowhere and without live news, it probably won't make any sense.
