unemployment and beginning at a prop firm

no pattern daytrading rule in futures. Better tax treatment, and higher earnings ceiling. But...very very competitive. Some people find that having previous trading experience helps them, others find that it hurts them when they venture into a prop situation. It really comes down to whether...

unemployment and beginning at a prop firm

Its true, if you have $$$ most will "hire" you. But thats why I said that it takes a lot of time to actually make it in this biz. Most everyone gets into trading for the $$$ but then realize its a hell of a lot harder than they thought and requires an incredible commitment. The failure rate is...

    Trader Beginner

If you're from Vancouver, there is a resident psycho here from Vancouver who claims to be a hugely successful emini trader. Problem is, he has a new user name every day. But he's professed his guilt and has said he wants to give back somehow. Maybe he'll take you under his wing? He used to go...

unemployment and beginning at a prop firm

It seems wrong to use unemployment checks to fund a trading account but as someone pointed out, you aren't an "employee" you are a customer so it seems like it could be a loophole to continue receiving checks but I'd def check with a lawyer first.

Well, the only thing I can say to this is that the kind of people who pursue trading are the kind of people who ALSO don't consider themselves average :)

Why don't you move somewhere so that you don't have to be a vampire trader. Lunch at 2:30 am sounds assbackwards.

unemployment and beginning at a prop firm

You'll find out that 6 months won't be enough. Believe me, I've seen 100's of traders and the timetable is 1-3 years on average. PS If every trader quit at 6 months, there would be hardly any traders around. It takes a great deal of time and purposeful intent. No shortcuts, 1000's of hrs of...

Amatuer or not, if he decides you're a douche, BAM you are gone from his screen. Can you imagine how great that would be in the real world. You're having a nice dinner but the cocksucker next to you is jammering away and very loudly. Poof, he's gone. So you drink and trade, eh?

unemployment and beginning at a prop firm

Realistically, the best scenario for becoming a successful and highly profitable trader is one in which you don't need money for a couple years (ie living at home w/ parents) so that the pressure to earn won't get in the way of the necessity to learn. I just hope you are aware that most...

Eh, I don't let strangers on the internet bother me but I see Lucrum's point. When he hits that ignore button, he is in control and whoever HE wants to disappear.....does.

Why you struggle if you have 99.99% chances you won't even make a living by trading?

Hey, I like this comment. So true. Hey OP, why not just kill yourself now, all you will do is get older, weaker, more scared, less aware, have to pee in the middle of the night many times and may lose all your teeth. Might as well take a 357 to the dome right now. What say you OP Garcia?

So by textbook, you mean it was so obvious you pulled in at least 6 figures right? Maybe 7?
