You confuse IB the broker with the chinese walled component of IB that is a market maker / trader. Actually (I don't know) the US offices for that activity might not even be open - they may follow the sun into Asia and Europe.

Yes it will. Your issue is that TWS has a "turn me off and restart timer" so you have to alter the log off time or use some sort of logon software if you want to run it 24x7.

They're good. It took a while to change after a couple of years on one thing but now I like them a lot. Learnt a few things about my strategy while changing too.

That is all bullshit. The version of java doesn't matter (I use 1.6_04 and I have had not work and does work (and has been working for the last few hours)). The version of TWS doesnt matter (I had failures from 882 to 884 and 882 is currently working). There is a fuck up in the Back...

I contacted def earlier and he contacted techs and software people. They were working on it. It came right for me and is still right but I am being cautious on assumption I might have to ring up to close a position.

Its now working for me from Aus.
