    an elementary T&S question

Yes, I saw that, and thank you -- and thanks to everyone else for their comments. But, not to beat a dead horse here, I'm not sure the answer has soaked through my thick skull quite yet, so bear with me while I take another pass at it. I'm not suggesting that 500 lots is a consequential sum...

    an elementary T&S question

Ok, fair enough -- and I appreciate that clarification. I'm still uncertain about this, however: In the T&S window (that's all I'm looking at, T&S) when one sees 500 contracts fly by on the bid on, say, the ES, one has no reason to assume that these 500 contracts represent some elephant's...

    an elementary T&S question

When one sees, say, a 500 lot on the bid, this could just as well represent a limit order to buy entered at the bid as it could a market order (or limit order) to sell at the bid, correct? Indeed, the only grounds one would have to assume that said order was the result of someone "hitting...

    Is Interactive Brokers losing it?

Yes, my connection's fine. TradeStation had no problems. Also, IB's charting data feed continued to stream. It's just the order side that keeps hiccuping....

    Is Interactive Brokers losing it?

Once again, their data stream (the one that handles their orders) goes off line during RTH. I realize this will happen, from time to time, with anyone, but, by my count, this is the third (or is it the fourth) time it's happened in a week. What is going on with them????

    Tradestation

Agree 100%. I'm an enthusiastic convert to MultiCharts, having had a poor first encounter with an earlier iteration. Version 2.0 is a terrific piece of work. I run it off iB data without a hitch.

IB symbols for UVOL and DVOL

Hi -- I'm unable to get this answer from IB, and have yet to be able to locate it on its website, so I'm wondering if any IB users here might know...what are the symbols IB uses for UVOL/DVOL as well as ADV/DECL for the NYSE? For the NASDAQ? Thanks for anyone's help here. Cheers...

Interesting,,, Ok, well, I guess I better look a little more closely.... Despite the flaws, I use CVB in TS and can't imagine trading without them. Hmmmmmmmm....

    Price/Volume Relationship

Actually, to hazard an answer my own question... I have a counter on my chart that ticks off the # of contracts remaining before the bar closes. Admittedly, I'm unable to watch every click of the thing, but I have yet to see evidence that TS' CVBs are not capped at the specified number. But...
