Well, you're being too generous. ES spiked up 150 points 3 days ago in only 2 minutes. And, during Flash Crash, it literally crashed over 500 points in a blink of an eye. I have no idea how he can possibly say he would be able to manage his trade without losing an arm and a leg. Seriously.

Yes, I agree that you can trade around a news, but not during THE news like FOMC. There are many news that I disregard myself. But there are big ones that you need to be aware of, and possibly stay out of until the dust settles. Unless you have inside info, which most of us do not, you don't...

Only if you have a ball of steel. This might work if you're algo trading, but if you're trading discretionary, man, that would be a gut wrenching rollercoaster. Not saying it wouldn't work. Just that, is it worth all the mental garbage that comes with it?
