Well, it's not as easy as just "fanning" out into the longer horizon. I wish it were that easy. :) Unfortunately, they're two different beasts. As a day trader, your mindset operates differently from that of a swing trader: different timeline, different objectives, different outlook. Hopefully...

Like the twitter guy says, I think I need to back off and cool my head for a while. Trying to outguess the market has its limitation, especially with BTC.

My thinking is a little different. For me, swing trading is "get in the trade and forget it until either the PT or SL is hit". That's pretty much what I did yesterday. Although disappointed about the loss, I am more upset at the fact that it was over in like 2 hours as opposed to 2 days.

Personally, I'm not too "rattled" by how much I lost. That I can handle. But my biggest gripe is this. I opened a position as a swing trade but ended up closing it as a day trade. I initially wanted to hold the position for at least 3 days but the trade only lasted for a few hours. :vomit: :wtf...

Of course. Why would I not?

I've included that to show (for those who don't know ES) how much you can lose per lot. How many lots I've actually traded isn't debatable. Sorry :)

Although switching to MES ain't a big factor in my trading, I'm kinda against it on moral grounds. These bastards at CME is rigging the commission structure to rip off more from small traders. Basically, they're charging nearly twice the amount for MES than ES.

I think I was a bit naive to think the rally would continue after taking out 25k. Anyway, the devil's advocate in me is egging me to short this damn thing. ;)

Well, first, 25212 is a big resistance level. So I'm not surprised the whales took their profits and ran. Small time retailers like us would not drive down the price that much that fast. Anyway, I suggest you hold off and monitor the price action before jumping back in. If this was the bull...
