I agree. We're almost there. They're gonna turn the table upside down...BUT only when everyone least expect it (ie. blinded by euphoria). That's what happened back in 2000 and 2007. So just sit back and enjoy the show. :)
Well, for me, the chart says otherwise. As you can see, we bounced off the lower trendline yesterday. By Friday, we should hit the upper dotted line, which MOST PROBABALY will coincide with 5100 (actually, I'm pretty damn sure it will be).
My point was that it ain't gonna happen. People are addicted to shopping (at least here in the US). You think they can kick the habit cold turkey? Nah. They would rather collect more debt than stop shopping. And most of those they buy are not even essential items. They can live without all that...

Just look at the difference between CPI and PPI. One is rising while the other is falling. What does this tell you? Companies are getting rich at the expense of the consumers.

That's why Powell & Co. needs to cut rates sooner at even pace rather than later in a knee jerk reaction.
BTW S&P sold off more than 1.3% as I type. This could be just the tip of the iceberg.
I hope you remember my posts about Powell not raising the interest rates fast enough to tame the inflation back in 2020. I'm pretty much repeating myself, only in the opposite direction. Powell is, to say the least, too damn timid.
