    Capital Available for Traders

No, see, here is the problem. When you talk like that nobody is ever going to want to invest in this model. I know you guys keep throwing the word retail around like it's a good thing but that word scares the hell out of institutional investors. It makes you sound amateurish. When you talk...

    Capital Available for Traders

My bad. All RIA's usually have the ability to trade options but since this is an account "mirroring" service, much like Collective2, options trading poses a liability risk on fills. I don't blame them for not wanting to accept that risk. Quite frankly, I think options trading would be a...

    Capital Available for Traders

Again, Patak and this are completely different models. There is no deciding between either or. Patak is for the swinger, the aggressive trader. Hell, he can afford to have 80% drawdowns. The RAPA model is about low volatility and very managed drawdowns. Futures traders can make a lot of...

Surf, excellent point. I totally forget about covester. Covester has allocated over a billion dollars! You don't have to reveal your strategy. And they have a way for you to get subscription fees if you choose not to register. Let me go over the differences. As of now, I don't believe...

    Capital Available for Traders

I'm sorry, I simply cannot agree to this. I don't know any HNI that would ever allocate capital to a small retail piker who is "shooting" for 50% to 70% returns. The world does not work that way. I know guys on ET really believe that. But ask anyone in this business. No one will agree with...

    Capital Available for Traders

Total BS. First of all, the percentage of retail guys making 50% is probably .00001%. Two, most serious institutional investors would never go near a guy making 50% returns on the volatility alone. You just don't get it. In the real world outside of ET, people are not trying to make 10,000%...

No. The problem is you don't know what you are smelling. I have dealt with these allocators for years. I've heard the pitch 100 times over. There is nothing behind the curtain.

    Capital Available for Traders

Their professionalism has nothing to do with their chance of success. The capital allocation game is a tough nut to crack. Look, you are right, this model is different from the TST model. The two are nothing alike. Both models will appeal to different people. At the end of the day, a...

    Capital Available for Traders

You know absolutely nothing about this firm. Hell, you know nothing about this business model. Yet you are endorsing it? LOL. Come on, I have nothing against these guys and I wish them well. I really do. I want to see one, just one of these capital allocators succeed. They pitched me and...

    Capital Available for Traders

You nailed it sle. Which is exactly why there is never a serious allocation delivered. I don't blame this firm. All the other firms that do this suffer the same fate. No serious institution is going to allocate capital to a soccer mom part timing her IB account. Again, the intention is all...

    Capital Available for Traders

Dude, this model already exists and has for years. Look up newmax advisors. There are 20 of these firms out there. There is nothing new here under the sun. If getting what a amounts to a 10k allocation gets you a hard on, then go excuse yourself and rub one off real quick. You'll think more...

    Capital Available for Traders

I'm not judging your firm. I look forward to your model. As I said, there is a place in the market for you. What I meant by lukewarm is, I know several firms running similar models and I have yet to see anyone of these firms raise the amount of assets that they claim to for good traders. I...

    Capital Available for Traders

No need for the rebuttal. I'm trying to give you ET speak. I completely understand the idea behind splitting profits. But there was a 900 page thread where most of ET seemed to not understand the concept of a split. There is another firm here on ET that does 60/40 splits and a good majority...

    Capital Available for Traders

I understand the pros and cons. I just think this model is already out there and I think the jury has given it a rather lukewarm response so far. I agree with most of what you said. I'm not sure how much value these RAPA scores are. LOL. The best metric for investing appears to be longevity...

    Capital Available for Traders

OK, that's the way I understood it. I was trying to help out my friend Pekelo who at times has trouble understanding content presented on web sites. I just want to make sure people understand. On a few other threads most of ET seemed abhorred at the idea of giving away 40% of their profits...

    Capital Available for Traders

Hey Mickson, just wanted to make sure I and the rest of us here understand exactly what you are offering. It appears as though you are basically allocating 100k in which the trader is going to keep 10% of his/her profits and give up the other 90%. Put another way, you are offering 10k for them...

TopstepTrader and Patak Trading Partners- Easy to read QUESTIONS and ANSWERS

This has been discussed endlessly. Why not customize a combine to fit exactly Pulsar's requirements? Guys, the customization part of TST is the least controversial aspect of this. You can make up any requirements you want. I'm not sure why this part keeps getting brought up.
