Thanks Mark! I know that you and your firm add value on EliteTrader. I appreciate the welcome! Take care.

Art guy, TT is very fast. RTS is the best Options System that I have seen or used. It is very functional, but I would not say that it is as fast as TT or FFastFill for futures only execution. A former workmate of mine just started working at RTS today. Email him for more info: Jon...

    new FFastTrade sponsorship

Eurex will list all of the contracts that do not have exclusivity. The Dow, Nasadq and S&P contracts are owned by the CBOT and CME. They will list the Interest rate products with a vengeance. Regards, Tom

Sabena, Once the CBOT has started to use LIFFE Connect and Eurex lists the US products! At this time the Gloves will be off! Riskless

Anyone successfully daytrade futures @ work?

I agree with tradersaavy's quote: If you are home from your job by 2:00 PM, you can change your sleeping schedule a bit and trade the European contracts. The Eurostoxx, Dax, Ftse and Bund are all much cheaper to trade as well. The European exchange fees are much lower than the US markets...

    new FFastTrade sponsorship

FX-Trader I agree with you! I think that the fact the CBOT has picked LIFFE Connect instead of Eurex is a GOOD thing for all of us. Eurex will list all of the US products in 2004 and I would bet that the CBOT lists the Eurodollars on the LIFFE platform creating an all out war between them...

Which "gurus" will provide their trading records?

The only Gurus that will show their results are the Fund managers and CTAs that manage money. They have to post their results. Anyone that is trading his own money and does real well would probably want to keep the results down for Tax reasons.

Slapshot, My last post should have been directed to BCE, but I inadvertantly typed Slapshot. I've got Hockey on my mind after the Hawks loss on Friday. Sorry about that! I was going to PM you to thank you for the ideas, but I'll do it here. Thanks and have a great weekend!

"PS Not saying I haven't or won't post links to other information I find useful, but it's all in the way it's done and also about one's personal relations and involvement with the vendor or site. Even this can perhaps get tricky as I can see people sending their subordinates to these forums to...

    Prop Firms In Chicago

Seth, That is how some of the Floor Traders are trying to make the transition. They come up for a few hours or trade at night on the screens to get the feel. It's a fairly difficult transition, because on the floor thay know where the orders are and they can lean on paper. On the screen...

    Prop Firms In Chicago

NT Tradiing is another good group to talk to. I know a couple of very good traders going through them. The guys that run it know what they are doing and they would do it right.

Leasing a seat on the CBOT or CME

SethArb, There is a ring of Electronic Trading screens that encircles the Big S&P pit. These guys are still making money, but the edge has dwindled a bit. In some of the most succesful Electronic contracts, there was an Arb between the Pit and the Electronic market. Their volumes feed off...

Slapshot! A couple of posts ago I told you that I would tone it down just for you. I don't want to offend anyone and If I am bothering one person that's enough for me. Anyone that knows me personally, could probably tell you that the last thing I want to be known as is an overbearing prick! I...

I will tone it down and I was not being sarcastic. Anyone that knows me, knows I am pretty passionate about this stuff. But you can guess what my next line to you is. I am off to the Hawks game, but if you want to see a small time IB in action stop by our office in the CME Building.

I put a shitload of information out there and basically told the full story. TT is faster than J-Trader hands down. I have nothing to do with them, but I have told the truth. If it bothers you then I will tone it down, but I am trying to give this guy some good info. I'll tell you what...

You should include a couple of others in this equation: Trading Technologies and FFastFill are both faster than J-Trader. I have never used IB, but I use both J-Trader and FFastFill every day. No comparison. J-trader seems to update its prices at about half the rate that FFastFill does...

    global futures?

I have heard very good things about their Customer Service! I run a firm that competes with them and I am a little leery of the Margin limits, but I have heard nothing but good things about their customer service. Regards, Riskless

Best way to start trading Futures?

I agree with you, but Trade on one of the Real-time simulators. All of the ISV have them now. You can set stops and everything. Find out how paper reacts and how the market moves without risking capital. Trade 1 lots! Trade exactly what you would start with on a live system.
