    Ewj: elliott wave

Crude down $2.00 and Nat-Gas making new contract lows for the move, but fund managers are still bidding up the oil service and nat-resource stocks. Unreal.

    Use of Profanity

I guess spending ALL day long posting on ET and threatening people is your way of showing how "tough" you are . . . I've always thought that people who talk "tough" on the Internet find comfort in the anonymity that protects them from the consequences of their loud mouths. Must be safe to...

    Drop from 810.48 to 783.32 SPX this morning gets you the following retracements: 27.16 x .382 = 800.11 27.16 x .500 = 796.90 27.16 x .618 = 793.70 :)

Why are the Dow Future 100 Points below Cash Market?

The 45 point discount occured 3 days after the Monday Crash. My guess is that today's after hours activity has something to do with the quarterly expiration of some SPX options. Someone may have been "put" some stock at the 800 level and they sold futures to hedge. Just a guess.

WARNING: ROUGH DIAMOND PATTERN ON THE QQQQs CRASH IMMINENT

Futures already down after hours. Must be the "flicker" worm that poisoned the Quacking Duck configuration. :D

Why are the Dow Future 100 Points below Cash Market?

The S&P was trading at a 45 handle discount on the Thursday after The Crash when George Soros puked 5,000 S&P's off the opening because he got nervous due to the Dollar's action. There were literally no bids off the opening, and the few that were there were "hit" even before the opening bell...

Nice trade Eric! This push up from 1:55PM Eastern has been nothing short of amazing. Definitely a strong bid in the market for a number of names. Just broke the "bid" a bit here shortly before 3PM.

Night of the Living Death Tax

Only the truly IGNORANT are unaware that the Estate Tax expires with the Bush tax cuts. Yet, the author above implies that this is some sort of "secret" and is "hidden" in a footnote. Get real. It's law that was signed into legislation back in 2001.

Looks like another 5 wave push up since the 12:33PM lows. Financial stocks getting bid back up again.

Night of the Living Death Tax

I am against the Death Tax. However, this article conveniently glosses over the FACTS; is written in a biased manner and incorrectly asserts the claim that there was a "political expectation that once the estate tax was gone for even one year, it would never return." Says who? Where did...

Thanks Papa. I read a report out of Goldman Sachs yesterday by an analyst that covers the E&P area and he is more bullish on NG than on Coal for a number of reasons. He felt that the production/supply of NG was peaking right this very minute, and that the underlying gas supply/demand is...

Porsche earns $7.3 billion due to VW options

You are quite mistaken. Porsche has had an "interest" in VW for roughly 3 years now, ever since they acquired a 20% stake in VW in 2005. It's about the CONTROL of VW. Not a stock trade!!! http://dealbook.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/09/17/porsche-takes-a-controlling-interest-in-vw/

That first leg down off last Thursday's highs was nearly 20 SPX points. An equal measured-move (5=1) would take us back down to the 780 lows of Monday. The slightly bigger picture shows the following Fib retracements for the 166 handle rally from 666.79 to 832.98 as: 769.52 = .382...
