    Sell Strategy

I find that the main reason people will hire a financial advisor so they don't have to take responsibility for their decisions. If the market does well then you take credit for being smart enough to hire a good advisor and when the market tanks you have someone else to blame. I don't know how...

    Stock falls on profit taking?

That's what moves price, supply and demand. Yet there is a whole industry built around telling a story because investors want to know why? Imagine a CNBC talking head coming out and saying that the price of this companies stock fell today because no one wanted to buy at yesterdays price and if...

    Stock falls on profit taking?

When you stop and think about it stock also go up on profit taking. Every time a stock sells at a new high someone who bought it cheaper is selling at a profit. It's just easier to make up stories that explain why stocks are rising.

It's what you do with a momentum strategy. You want stocks that are making new highs. No overhead resistance from investors waiting to break even

What is it about them you like "Long Term"? What would change your mind? I don't see anything fundamentally that would entice me to invest in any of the companies you have mentioned.

It's tough to go from investor to trader. Different mindset. It's really easy to turn a trade into an investment when it goes against you. I would suggest a written trading plan and then measure your success not by the dollars made or lost but by whether you followed your plan. Small losses...

    Stock falls on profit taking?

What do you mean it's a name for a course? I'm convinced that smart money exists. Someone is profiting from the way the market moves. Who do you think is creating supply and demand? You have to realize that the stock market is not there for you to make money. It's there for the people who run...

    Stock falls on profit taking?

It's a term you hear all the time when a stock falls for no apparent reason, or when a stock falls after what many consider to be good news. It seems strait forward enough. Investors bought lower and are now selling and taking their profits. Good for them; Isn't that what you are supposed to...

Looks like they spent a lot of time to find that nothing works all the time. If you find something that works then trade the hell out of it until it stops working and find something else. I should have been an academic. :banghead::banghead:

At what point does a loss become uncomfortable? And what do you do when it gets to that point? Believe me it will eventually get to that point through no fault of your own. Why are you OK being wrong with a good company? Look back in history at the good companies that have fallen on tough...

There is quite a difference between a good company and a good stock. I quit following the fundamentals of a company because it tended to bias my trading. Knowing that a company had solid fundamentals kept me in some trades I should have exited, tied up my capital that could have been employed...

Exactly. Don't bet against the market. The indexes are just a momentum strategy.

The Myth: 3x ETFs good only for short term...

If I were going to put something away for 30 years and not look at it I wouldn't be afraid of TQQQ. If you believe that the US economy will keep percolating along and that technology will continue to evolve then the Nasdaq 100 (QQQ) will probably continue to increase in value over time as new...
