Nasdaq broke below the 200 day ( big trouble )

I'm more a swing trader. Would like to consider myself a position trader. Any stock that trends up I'll pyramid into. That said everything I own is starting to roll over. Stops are in place. :)

Nasdaq broke below the 200 day ( big trouble )

Perfect if you're shorting the market. I play individual stocks so I'll just sit in cash until something comes along. So far my stocks are holding up not bad.(Canadian Market: Financials & Energy) only 16% in cash.

Nasdaq broke below the 200 day ( big trouble )

I think that's the attitude the hedge funds that played GME had. There is no limit to how much you can lose with a short. At least with a long you only lose what you invest.

Lynch promoted buy what you know. If you use a product and like it buy the company. If you notice that a certain store is always busy or a certain hotel chain is expanding buy the company. Like most investment books you have to dig deep to find out when to sell.

Why new traders sell at the worst time?(trading in the zone)

As you are the trader doing that you are in the best position to answer those questions. My questions would be why are you holding a stock that has been consolidating for a long time? Why once you have sold a stock and it shows some strength don't you re-enter the trade? Why are you holding a...

    Bitcoin and MSTR price correlation

Is it really. it's like saying good things come to those who wait. Yep, I'm going to start a procrastinators club, as soon as I get around to it. I'm not going to disagree that the market always goes up eventually. But that is the market, not individual positions. The market is smart enough to...

    Bitcoin and MSTR price correlation

So what motivates a trader to do that? And at what point does it become a bad investment? Is it a dollar figure or a certain length of time that has to go by? As a trader you make your money by buying and selling. As an investor hopefully your asset gives you a little cash flow. When you turn...

    VectorVest v Stockcharts.com

I used Vectorvest a few years back. An excellent data base with some interesting backtesting capabilities. I'm a stock charts subscriber and find it meets all my needs. Vectorvest uses a moving average to give buy and sell signals. Its EPS data is forecast rather than actual so it tends to...

As swing trader is scalping background is useful ?

If you mix them make sure you are not tempted to turn a losing scalp into a swing trade. Just like traders who turn a losing trade into a long term investment.

Always trading with fixed position size

A fixed position size to me means that you always enter a trade with the same number of dollars or contracts. This means that your risk is defined by the price of where you execute your stop. Adding to a trade whether averaging up or down adjusts your risk as the trade progresses.
