Difficult to explain. Averaging 1 point a day is the preserve of bots and HFT and market makers and all that crap. A point a day pays their bills. But it has to come from somewhere i.e. you. But you want to turn the tables on them, and take it from them. That's the trap you're falling into. Are...

Interesting, but I would say it's far easier to lose 1 point a day...you have spreads and commissions .... do twenty trades a day and that's probably 1 point right there in commiss.

Doubled up by adding to my short at 10160, stops tightened to 75 ticks

went short cl 10150, usual 100 tick stop. only quarter position size.

Good post. In addition, it's day traders that compete with bots (good luck taking on the machines), macro traders like me couldn't care less about bots.
