    soros invested some money with VN. VN made some money on it and then started losing. VN closed the account and gave it back the money to Soros. Soros praised him for closing the acct (most money managers would have continued to trade and lose). Soros did not invest with VN again. End of story.

    Eh? Curtis Faith was the most successful turtle. He made $30m for himself. Unfortunately he lost most of his money starting up tech companies. He's written some books which are worth reading.

    Identifying the trend in a given time frame is easy. All you need to do is to develop a definition of trend and then apply it to the market/time frame in question. Easy! Knowing where to enter and where to exit to take advantage of the trend, well that's the tricky part.
