No, I was sim trading scaling strategies with CL and completely missed that. Just shoot me.

    CL Redux

Very nice! I'm practicing all in/scale out in sim and although the end result is good, I'm not very pleased with my trade management at all. I'm pretending I'm trading live and actually making the same dumb mistakes I would if trading live

    CL Redux

Did someone not get enough sleep last night  (I suggest smoking POT on days like this. It's very satisfying.)

    CL Redux

CL is holding up well here vs ES.

That is actually a decent CT strategy if you calculate measured moves and are quick to enter.

    CL Redux

Never mind me, I misread as 78.63. Thought you shorted later on.

    CL Redux

Nev, I'm not sure exactly where you shorted, but when you have a lot of long lower wicks (9:00am, 9:10, and 9:15 bars) at the bottom of a strong move down, price is finding strong support and will likely stage a decent bounce.

CF & TNH vs the others

CF P/E is 10 TNH is 14 (and their div is 6.3%) The others: AGU P/E is 26 MOS is 37 POT is 27 Does anyone know if these high P/E's are justified compared to CF & TNH? MOS future earnings projections are the worst of the bunch and yet they're trading at a premium.

But, but, but...CL drives so smooth and fast :D

That is very cool. I reached a point early this year after some moments of overtrading insanity where I realized that the less I traded, the better my trades, because when I was very patient and waited for the best setups, they worked. I spent months manually backtesting bar-by-bar with stops...

    Rdn

They are indeed! We have a few king snakes around the yard, so hopefully they'll keep the rattlers at bay. I always wonder about these stocks that seem to have no positive earnings, yet they go up, with the exception of biotech where you're hoping for future results based on something...

Not true! I've not only had losing trades, but also had entire losing days, one as recently as 4/29 for -$40 (I keep the losers small)

    A 70k bet that I can't make a 50% gain in 2009

So this is what happens when Mom's out of the room. :p

Taking 410K to 4million by Year End 2010

Now I know who's responsible when I get those 3-share partial fills :D

I have yet to average down in my live account. I just don't see any reason for it in day trading. Now if I was building a swing position near an extreme, looking for RTM (like ammo and AMT do), that would be different, but for now I'm strictly day trading.

When I average down at extremes with ES in my sim account, I would always space the entries by either 3 or 5 points depending on the ATR's of the day.

    CL Redux

Not a bad day +$822, but missed a lot of early opportunities. I think today might've been my first live long breakout trade. I posted all my calls live, so unless some has a burning desire to see the blotter with exact times down to the nanosecond, I'm calling it a day!

Sorry, took a break. What do you consider "size". My DOM shows 10 levels and most of the size is on the sell side right now. OK< never mind it turned over rather quickly...
