Volatility is such a broad term

Means little to me. I don't consider it for trading. Seems the best play is to fade the VIX when it spikes "high enough". Doesn't play well for "buying when it's cheap", as it can stay cheap for extended periods. Of course volatility is a big factor in options. How to take advantage of...

Conditions On San Francisco Streets Like "Slums Of Mumbai, Delhi,... & Manila"

Authored by Michael Snyder via The Economic Collapse blog, Once upon a time, some of the most beautiful cities in the entire world were on the west coast, but now those same cities are degenerating into drug-infested cesspools of filth and garbage right in front of our eyes...

Agree about "edges" (there aren't any, at least not legal ones) But charts? Can't trade well without them. Everything you need to know and should want to know is in the charts. My rec is for traders to "#1, learn the charts, and #2, FORGET EVERYTHING ELSE! (One exception here could be...

Volatility is such a broad term

In the most simple and broadest term... IMV the majority of market players refer to "volatility" as the likelihood of the VIX going up (market going down). And of course that can be played. When the TV gurus advise, "buy volatility"... what they're saying is "go long the VIX" in some fashion.

Shouldn't be a "warning". The 200 MA sometimes means nothing at all. Sometimes it's significant. Like some other technical tools, you need to understand and use appropriately.

    War!

Didn't some War Powers Act give the pres some latitude about that?? (Personally, I like the notion of only Congress being able to declare war.)

Bernie Sanders wants to tax Wall St to pay for college. 1/2% tax on all trades

Oh HELL no. For each transaction, there is both a buyer and a seller. 1/2%/side... a reasonable $48B/yr. So, what's that.... ~32 years for the SPY transaction tax to pay off $1.6T in college debt? What about the additional debts to be run up during those 32 years? (It's amazing how...

Insider Blows Whistle & Exec Reveals Google Plan to Prevent “Trump situation” in 2020

The DemoCraps want us to believe that the only righteous choice for president is one of theirs... Lefty/Commie. Any other is a "Trump situation", and cannot be allowed.

You might find trying to make "$30k or so" per day to be too exciting.

Looking like Warren will be the nominee, what do you think?

Sad part.... If 50.1% of the voters sign on to the "free shit for everyone" promise, probably doesn't matter which candidate the Dems run. :(

Kashkari Hoping To Replace Powell? Says He Pushed For 50bps Rate Cut

"...Kashkari is unaware, or simply chooses to ignore the fact that the Fed's "inflation at all costs" (literally) policy cripples America's poor and middle class, and only benefits those in the top 10% who own financial assets, which in turn continue to rise to all time highs making the rich...
