The fear of trading edge becoming inefficient?

Assuming that is the highest form/ level of edge and you have attained that, are you saying you would never have had any fear of losing the edge anymore after proving that works (and how long for the fear lasting after proving it works?)?

The fear of trading edge becoming inefficient?

I'm afraid the best edge among all would be how fast/ soon we could detect, in a systematic way, the losing of efficiency for the existing edge(s) before losing too much capital particularly when using a relatively high leverage in order to generate maximum possible profits.

The fear of trading edge becoming inefficient?

Do you mean diversification with several edges? How do you know in advance all the edges could never be high correlated one day, hence becoming inefficient at the same time?

The fear of trading edge becoming inefficient?

Have you ever had any experience (at any moment at all?) of the fear for worrying your trading edge would become inefficient in the near future? What would you do to prepare for it? How to overcome it, technically (such as starting a hedge fund) and/or psychologically? Or do you think...

Work hard for big money, versus relaxing life and comfortable $$$

Trading can be a serious and profitable business, as many claim before. And there would be no any single trader could make profits forever according to the reflexivity theory of market dynamics, particularly under whatever dramatic market conditions. Another objective for a trading...

    Daily Trade Ideas

That idea of trading this way has been proved so far a very bad idea indeed. PS: Doing it on ET is OK. But Don't do that at home. :D :D

    FXManager with Oanda

I think Oanda should speed up the following useful and important feature soonest. Otherwise, its competitor Collective2 would be even better than the FXManager platform for now. Perhaps that's why a couple of FX managers while using FXManager are still also using Collective2 till now. "Q...

The Implications Of Schindler and VN

My guess is all major profitable traders with systematic approaches must have their individual edges. However, the whole game in financial markets, imo, is the question of How Fast one can Detect the degrading of the existing edge and How Well one can Polish it to identify/ meet any...

The Implications Of Schindler and VN

"And therefore, in order for a system to "work", it must be changed, and therefore, by definition, they don't "work". " A very good and practical point indeed. I totally agree.
