People looking at the total number of Dislikes will not see the brief notes unless clicking the Dislikes number. Similar to clicking to see all the names of several Likes for a post currently.

Good thinking! That's why a "Dislike" button (preferably together with a brief note - just like providing any reason for deleting a post) is important! Blocking a poster for posting should still allow the poster for placing a Dislike! I think. Another 2 cents!

Not exactly self moderation. I think. I can block a specific poster in my own thread, but I cannot change a poster's contents at any time after his posting. I guess. If I don't like most posters in a thread of mine and block them, the thread will end up having only one single poster - me...

Please notice the key word: Optional! , as sometimes a thread starter would like to hear voices from all members, including the opposite site.

I think it's natural development would be "They" can also put "us" on their ignore list, therefore we cannot see even the existence of their threads that could be started by them or their other nicknames. Then they will have a better/favourable environment for preaching whatever they want to...

Hi Baron How about this feature as an option to be selected/decided by individual thread starters: Logically All the Ignore members of a thread starter should Not be allowed to post in a/the thread started by the starter! That should be very easy to implement, I think!

Perhaps the "Dislike" button requires registration of a simple/brief reason as constructive/positive feedback for improvement. That way ET's overall Quality can be improved too, accordingly.
