Seeking advice on writing (and covering) short options

.20? Just buy the shares and scalp the .20 before noon and call it a month. Come on man, give me a break. You claimed in a previous posts something about strong support levels. Well? I mean think about this for a second. The premium you are taking for holding a stock for a month or longer...

What is really sad here is you are doing all this "analysis" 10 ways from Sunday forward and backward and yet you still are afraid to just buy the shares of companies that you swear are great. What's worse is all this analysis to make a bullish call and collect pennies on your "prediction"...

Palm Beach Traders, Hedgees, Financial Pros

Hilton Head is boring but Savannah is quite a feisty little town. Combination of old world charm, college town and history. It's the largest historic district in the US and it's downright beautiful. It's also not far from Cumberland Island and Jekyll Island, at one time both had the highest...

I think the only viable city to live in down there is Tampa.

I went to school down there with kids whose dads were felons. And as I'm sure you already know, it's the FX boiler room capital of the world.

Savannah, Clear Lake and New Orleans all would have been better choices I think.

Surf, you will get skinned alive down there. I lived down on FL for 3 years. I think you will be very disappointed. The police are crooked, the pastors are crooked, teachers are felons and anyone working in finance is probably running from where ever they came from. Be warned.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to lecture the guy and I'm not even interesting in discussing whether or not he will blow up or make money. I use to debate that stuff years ago on here. You can do a search on the archives. I go back a few years. LOL. I'm simply trying to debate whether...

So you are betting on distribution. And the distribution is based on probability. Only you and your partner in crime here are not using probability to determine the distribution. So how EXACTLY are you predicting the future distribution of prices?

I hate to break this to you. But ALL trades fall into that category of not knowing until after the fact. That is why Sle is saying you have to PREDICT something. The art of PREDICTING means you are using some form of analysis to ascertain the future value of some product. What is...

Each trade carries it's own probability. But that "one" probability is part of the total probability distribution which equals one. So it doesn't matter which trade you make. You could make one of them or all of them. There is no way to "manipulate" the probability distribution.

No, you are till not there. Maybe your language skills are poor but your "total" probability does not change based on how far OTM you are. Think about it this way. Every strike price is a probability for a given stock. Each of those strikes has their own probability with a corresponding...

The sum total of all the low probability trades and high probability trades equals one. It makes no difference if you buy the one delta call 100 times or buy the 99 delta call 100 times.

You still are not getting it. You cannot raise or lower your probability without an edge. Adjustments do not change the outcome. Adjustments are simply a whole new trade that with it carries it's own probability distribution. You can roll up and out till the end of time, your probability is...

Atty, what amazes me even more about this site is how guys cannot understand that every option is a probability and combining them 100 ways from sunday doesn't change that. Either you have an edge or you don't. And if you don't, no combination of options is going to give you one. So selling...

    The ACD Method

You can almost always take a failure trade due to the tight risk parameters. And yes, with a monthly A up, failed weekly A downs are almost always good for a bounce. It's all about price action. All ACD and the number lines are doing is quantifying what you should already know. If something...

    The ACD Method

GOOG is in no mans land. I have a failed weekly A up. It's back below the monthly A up. No real strength on the number line. Trading is all about picking your spots. No position is a position. I see no compelling reason to get long GOOG. To me it looks like it's still in its consolidation...

    The ACD Method

For my 30 day values, AAPL is +5 and GOOG is +6. The 5 day gives a clearer picture of the recent momentum with AAPL +4 and GOOG -4.

    The ACD Method

OK, a couple of things. I have spent 4 years and I don't even want to guess how many hours posting to this thread basically putting out in detail almost every facet of this methodology. There is no one in 4 years who has "not" gotten help on this thread. And two, nobodies number lines are...
