Is there any good prop firm for new traders?

I traded with one of the partners at Chimera. He is a good guy and an outstanding trader but that guy better have his shit in line when he goes in to interview. My buddy will put him through the ringer.

Nothing is according to me. Just look at the stats of the entire population. Hell, just read ET. How many threads are on here about "working for the man" and how the dream lifestyle is to be self funded. Look, people are both greedy and ignorant. When the times are good and they...

Crispy passed the combine. Crispy is a live profitable trader. According to you, Crispy must be some mythical Greek God with three heads and 10 flat screen monitors of course.

Successful traders: why don't you move to a 0% capital gains tax country?

Most traders can structure their entities to pay very little taxes here. And most traders don't have capital gains anyway, they have short term gains. And lastly, there is no such thing as tax free. "everybody owes, every pays".

    Yet Another Prop Firm Hiring

How old are you? What is your background, education? Look man, I'm going to honestly try to give you some genuine advice on here. Whether T3 is a good deal or not is really a moot point. There is no long term future there. I'm just being honest. If you are short on education, for the...

So there is a bit of psychology at play here. I understand what traders "think" they want. When a guy is not profitable or has no self confidence in himself, the idea of backing sounds very appealing. What I'm trying to say here is, that dynamic does change once a trader "does" have self...

    Yet Another Prop Firm Hiring

Most of the Chicago firms have NY offices. Just make sure you went to a target school, 3.75 GPA or higher in a math, engineering, econ or fin and if you played any musical instruments, poker or sports make sure to put that on there. A firm that a buddy of mine runs in Chicago had 800...

Yes, I understand that live with real money is different but going live with real money after you have proven to yourself that you have the discipline to make it work is much different then going live with real money when you have no idea what you are doing. The real money demons have much...

Well, my old JBO moved offshore. Consolidated is still around and a solid firm. Cassandra as mentioned above is another. Also Cutler is a good firm.

What is holding you back from funding your account? Fear? Remember this is a long process. Start with one lots and move your way up. Perhaps if you fund yourself and you fall back, at least it will expose some area you need to work on again. Trading real money will expose a man's flaws...

Good work! If they made an error let them know and they will correct it. As I said before countless times, I think the TST combine has served it's purpose for you as a training ground and you have proven your discipline. I see no reason why you should not fund your own account. You...

    The ACD Method

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that the weekend is such a heavy news cycle and you can get a lot of gaps in the opposite direction. Plus the beginning of the week is really probably the only true opening range we really have so taking a position ahead of a new opening range seems...

Banks: Boom times for trading might have gone forever

They made markets to facilitate economies of scope. They would have done it at a loss. It was such a small part of their revenue it probably amounted to a rounding error. Citadel did more MM business then all the investment banks combined.
