    My Take On Jack

I owe you all an apology, my methods are obviously flawed. The ES bounced off resistance at 1004 between 3:53 and 3:55 and never reached 1004.5. And to add insult to injury it sold off to close at at 1001.25. Thankfully I was able to close out longs at 1002.75 B-4 things went too far down.

    My Take On Jack

Interesting, you are saying posts should be "simple" as that is all you are able to understand? Sorry but the market is not simple, well defined or sensible at times. If simple is all you are equipped for you will not last long. It seems odd that if I were to predict the 8-28-03 S&P close...

    The Stochastic Indicator

Too bad to see this thread die because of a very few immature morons that could not understand it and therefore thought it was up to someone to hand them the grail on a silver platter. To bad they didn't lurk and try to learn instead of demanding WHAT I WANT FROM YOU RIGHT NOW. Three to add to...

    Jurik JMA

For more info than you could read in a weekend on ma and T3 and many more technical aspects of market study go to Marks site. His graph comparing Jma and T3 is correct but on real time data you seldom see a spike of that multitude preceded and followed by flat line. The link just21 put up...

    Jurik JMA

It is not an open source code. If you want to see it go to Marks site. It is reasonable so I bought it. Mark has a group at Yahoo that you could join to get a lot of info. I find JMA to be of limited value over T3 average or the like that are free open source code but that is just me. I do...

    Looking to purchase TS2000i

"I did not know that a owner of 2000i pledged never to resell it. Why would they impose such an onerous restriction?" Quite simply the seller makes his money selling a license to allow you to use their software. Most software vendors will not allow a transfer of ownership. They would prefer...

    Looking to purchase TS2000i

Being everyone that purchased Ts2000i had to agree that they would never resell it you can not purchase a legal copy unless you live in europe where it is still sold. B-4 you purchase any Ts2000i product you should be aware that TS plans to abandon it and screw over anyone that will not use...

Would you trade with 56K dial-up?

Yes that is easy to believe for several reasons. You more than likely connect at close to 56k, I usually get 28k, once in a while I get 31k. I am in effect doing a first time on a new machine every day. After trading and a little surfing I wipe everything fresh off the hard drive, it...

Would you trade with 56K dial-up?

Yes indeed, there is a 7 min. wait for the program to download and get me logged in and ready to trade. I asked my broker about the software version (they send it on a disk), it should load in seconds but my broker didn't recommend it. It has become a non issue for me as it has become part of...

Would you trade with 56K dial-up?

Who in the hell is choosing their tools solely on cost? Is that insult directed at me? I have Tradestation 2000i, had Tradestation 4 and 3.5, do you think that was cheap to purchase? My satellite data is much more costly than internet delivered quotes. I trade ES and have never had any...

Would you trade with 56K dial-up?

DTN satellite is not portable. It requires a 3' dish permanently mounted in the yard and aimed at their satellite. I have that connected to a HP workstation with two 19' monitors. Lots of charts and analysis running. Cost for mine is $220 inc. CME real time data charges per month. Jtrader...

Would you trade with 56K dial-up?

I do, with Jtrader, on a 28k - 31k on a good day line. Split second fills most of the time. Order entry will not require a great amount of band width. Because of this a faster connection will not really help unless you are also trying to collect data. I use a DTN satellite feed for the TS...

    Windows 2000 Prof , with SP4...issues

I was hesitant to update as I had heard of problems but the whole thing went fine for me. I might add that I really see no improvement. Some had reported faster booting or shut down but I see no difference. Chuck.

    Todd Mitchell trading course.....

I sent for free info once. I was not interested, but received a letter every other week offering a further discount on his course. If memory serves me the last offer was around $350.00.

Windshield Death Sentence -- Is 50 Years Appropriate Punishment?

I agree with you. 50 years is way too long and why should society pay for keeping that idiot fed. My choice is put her in a spare bedroom at your house. You are responsible if she ever does anything to hurt anyone ever again. If she smokes crack and tries to burn down the house only she...

any Index futures traders using Tradestation?

I do not have a replacement in mind yet. I hope that somehow we will be able to keep TS2000i working. TS2000i works great for me. Very stable, and with DTN satellite for data it is the best combination I know of. I use Jtrader to place orders over a poor quality local phone line (28k). If...

    Computer Overheating

First I will assume that the repair shop did the standard check over and also used compressed air to clean off all components. A fan drawing room air across electrical components will leave a tremendous amount of dust. This acts as a thermal barrier to cooling. I take my computers out to the...

any Index futures traders using Tradestation?

Although I may not after this year as they seem to want to drop the almost non existent tech support that they try to get by on now. If you are interested in tradestation go to their web site and register so you can read the endless requests for help. Also read the TS2000i section to see...

    apex futures

I have been very satisfied with Apex. If I have any questions or internet goes out while I have a position on they answer the phone on the first ring and and take care of things. They have never charged me anything extra to close out a position on the phone. J-Trader does fine by me. All and all...
