there are two channels here, a bull channel and a bear channel.....the blue line is the channel line, copied and dragged from the yellow trendline. are the two same? the bull channel is made up of a lot of overlapping bars compared to the bear channel which is made up of all bear bars closing...

Brooks says a bull channel is a bear flag or pull back...which is confirmed seen here

return is return it may be said but i would rather like to see how it was made.....whether there was a sound method or reasoning behind it..... this is important because, if it was not made that way and there was no repeated logic or reasoning used then, the return too would not be repeatable...

as you can see i have decided to put everything into Brooks language.....obviously there are many other languages that can be used and i will see if i can use another one as well but they are all describe essentially the same thing [market]

sold gold....you had two leg up and down move, on reasonably high momentum a pull back and what brooks calls a L2 or a LH MTR.. looks good for a leg down

Brooks lays a lot of importance on finding out what sort of day it is.....a range day....a trend day......spike and channel day........if you see what has been happening on your chart from left to right it will give an idea of what has been repeating for that time.....that will continue...

that is better than the total lack of governance in most countries......

... i learnt from my golfing days, when i was the best player in my city, that the subjectivity of golf makes it very difficult to teach somebody. trading is a lot worse in that respect and i would not be as brave as Brooks to try that.......... trusting what you are taught, is almost...
