I prefer the ES, mainly because I am much more familiar with it's personality. Last week there was just not anything happening. I had 14 signals for the week, in active environments I can get over 20 in a day.

I don't know anything about options but I set targets on futures based on average MFE in my time frames. It keeps things simple and it works for me. You have to test various strategies and understand yourself to find something that works for you.

Yep, I learned in such an environment. Don't know of anything like that these days.

There is a much larger retail presence in futures than forex, the great majority of forex volume is institutional positioning and hedging.

Forex is the turf of institutional trading. The small retail guy is just prey for the "brokers".

Intraday does not make sense if you can't trade. You'd think that would be self-evident but apparently not.

In a small setting with traders you like and respect, it's not a problem.
