Vaccine H1N1 did it had an effect on your trading ?

The effect on my P/L was +$5000 when I closed out my NVAX positions. So, I selected "Yes I'm a new man..." (which was quite a surprise to my husband) :D

Patience waiting for your best setups will pay off most of the time. Marginal setups usually follow hesitating to take a prime setup, missing a great move and then wanting to get back what you missed. Getting back what you missed comes from patiently waiting for the next best setup to come...

    Weinstein Trading and Fading

For the long term investor, fundamentals and news that affects the fundamentals of a company are very important. Long term investors generally hold much smaller positions than day traders and close their position at an 8-10% loss. Day traders need only focus on the price action and ride the...

Daytrading kicks booty! I had one losing day in the past 3 weeks and it was a small one. Profits not as exciting as during the "crash zone" volatility, but there are coins to be found in that sewer :D

    CL Redux

After that drop and that hammer at the bottom I thought the move was over for a bit and price would come back to the lower Keltner for a recharge to the short side, so I then left my desk (this is a key short signal, as many of you know) to make a quick breakfast and now it's crashing again...

    CL Redux

Talk about a "what the hell" trade. Got my morning tea, saw that news must've hit the wire and CL was crashing, was pissed I didn't get a piece of that move and said "what the hell!"

What you eat is #1, no doubt. I'm a whole foods pure vegetarian, cholesterol 132. If I drop dead and they open me up, they'll probably find crude oil as much as I've been trading it lately :p :p Thanks, Petsamo, you made my day!

If I were a swing long here, I'd be watching closely how price reacts here at the 20-day MA. Last failure at the 20 MA sold off hard and the trend is quite definitely still down.

2-3 pt channel moves being played over here (I'm trading strictly CL, but others all ES). No man's land for direction here. Just follow the price action when the long 3-martini lunch is over

It's a numbers game. The other day I had 7 CL trades, 6 of them moved back to stop out b/e, frustrating no doubt, but the one runner paid the bills.

    Welcome Back!

Hi Stoney, your thread caught my eye as I'm looking to scale small into some longer term positions in our IRAs after being almost 100% in cash and only day trading and very short term swing trading the accounts. I picked up NLY not too long after their earnings miss and the "flash crash"...
