At what price was your protective stop? Nice thing about a sim account is you can comfortably average down for a long time. Not so comfortable in the "meager" live account :eek: ADD: I give you credit for averaging with the trend. I've seen CL retrace entire moves later in the day, though.

Well, I must say my inventory play of no stops, only targets is still a 100% winning play. Some day I'll actually do that trade live and it will be the day it runs straight against me 5 points :eek:

I think because it came twice within a tick of stopping me out b/e made me edgy about the range continuing to hold, so I grabbed the profit :eek:

No, much worse, I was long from 86.30 and when price broke .50, I thought to target a test of the high, but when it broke by a few ticks I took my .20 and then never got back in! A real trader would've held the initial position and ADDED @ .60!

I'm in my friend's chat room today and was earlier talking about the symm triangle breakout, I was long from .30, closed @ .50 even though the b/o level was just 10 ticks away. I even said to them I was holding for higher target, then took the 20 ticks when it "appeared" the range was holding...

My hypothetical CL inventory trade today is: Long 86.33, 50 tick target, no stop as always :D

We're now moving up off the 6 month trend line which held as support yesterday to the tick. Anyone trying to play true breakouts yesterday at that trend line left empty-handed, or paid a small fine for trying to cross that line :eek: As I post, price has retraced yesterday's range 50% (86.98)...
