Wow what a retrace! Last retrace off the high earlier today gave little LH wiggle on the 1-min. This one is running without meeeeeee....

Best to park it 1 tick above the pivot low (87.53) to guarantee a fill. I was a bit afraid to do that, so I played the break of the 11:55pm ET 1-min bar, looking for the breakout.

Out +.20 I see my short errand was an expensive one, I hope everyone went long for the rest of that move when I left!

The reason I'm bullish here is because of the 60-min EMA holding firm as support and price leaving a HL; otherwise I'd not have taken this long entry. ADD: Think of that strong retracement off the highs as an extremely ugly, scary 2-leg pullback in the "uptrend" - lol

That long showed me exactly 20 ticks and fizzled, then my flip short showed me exactly 20 ticks and fizzled. I'm stepping away from my desk now... :D

For those who aren't familiar with using other time frames for cross-reference, that support @ 86.73 was established at the 20-bar EMA on the 60-min chart. Double touch of that price on the 1-min was a long signal for me despite the LH/LL. Might just fizzle, but always worth giving these levels...

Interesting. This thing was so strong I thought we'd make another break and try for 88.11!

This is the danger of the 1-min chart. You're using it for entries, which is great, because you can see into the 5-min bars. But you have to be really careful using it for trade management. I've had this same thing happen to me because I forget to cross-check the larger time frame I'm actually...

That twin top LH @ 87.20 was a nice setup. I waited and shorted the break of 87.07 twin floor, but pretty much the same trade. Oh, except for the fact that I covered too soon because the earlier chop placed me in "take what you can, quick" mode :p
