We do not add the 'probability' component to the Pennants. A trader simply views Pennants as a point at which they have an opportunity to make sure they know 'the right side' of the market. - Spydertrader

As have I. Two years running on the twin 24's and not a pixel out of place. I apologize. I never checked the Price. - Spydertrader

Yes. When I am not travelling I watch both the YM and the ES for formations. The YM leads the ES, so it does make sense. Keep in mind that formations can last awhile, so not every formation 'breaks' after the second bar. - Spydertrader

I currently use two Dell UltraSharp 2405FPW and have never had a problem with either. Tonight, I looked at both the SamSung and the HP 30 inch monitors and may upgrade to those. They looked great on the shelf in Costco. :D - Spydertrader

Glad you found the five posts useful. My Hitch definition has a three or four tic range and very low Volume compared to the previous bar. The formation often looks like a 'plus sign' (+). Jack's definition has two adjacent bars with equal lows and equal highs (The same as my adjacent bar Even...

OK. Second try. Here we go. It certainly seems this way at times, but if we really take a close look, we can see things really aren't that different than over in Futures. First, think about 'flaws' and 'formations' and how they work over in futures. We often see 'flaws' and 'formations'...

I had a really long post set to go and accidently deleted it. Ugh! I'll work on recreating it later today if I have some more time. My apologies for the delay. - Spydertrader

Nope. I'll be long gone from these waters in the not too distant future. Time to scale up, buy my island, and leave the day to day machinations with the market for the next generation. No more Journals, no more transference, no more PM's, IM's or emails. I have one final gift for the Equities...

Not at all. This isn't about me or any class. It simply means if one has a legitimate concern over eyesight degradation due to chronic use of computer monitors, then it makes little sense to continue to post and or read ET - thereby increasing one's time in front of a computer screen. Of...

    Trading Blind

If one looked for a revolutionary and novel approach to saving one's eyesight from the strain of staring at a computer monitor all the live long day, one could read, and / or post on, ET significantly less frequently. Thirty-eight eyes might thank you. :D Unfortunately, such a solution robs the...

Since I've headed off on this summer's 'working vacation' I haven't traded any stocks (just the ES). However, I do follow the steps to create a hot list each night and have that list in a Quotesheet for monitoring each morning, in case someone has questions. By example, I noticed none of...

I cannot agree more with the above post. SCT is a consequence of the learning process. Many individuals (who have never even posted to this Journal) either use the concepts discussed here in concert with their own methods, or use a subset of the whole in an effort to profit from the market. As I...

I recommend drawing in carryover channels from the day before. They help you know 'the right side' of the market - early in the morning - when you may not have your orientation set in stone (especially when we have a gap). - Spydertrader

    1. The above is not the correct mindset for someone learning anything new, let alone learning to trade. 2. Take a week off, flush your brain, and re-read that which you currently fail to comprehend. 3. "Look at something from a different Point of View" means: If your current thought on...
