    IB's 'Modify multiple orders'

nevermind. If you don't subscribe for the data they won't let you do that even if you use 'close' as criteria, that was the problem

    IB's 'Modify multiple orders'

Lets say I have 10 in stocks open, all for buying, I want to change them in a way that the bid would be set according to a formula like 'last -50 cents' or something like that. How to do that? I'm using the modify multiple orders dialog box but when I input my data on the 'Set Price - Buy...

I remember a few years back I used to watch the market a bit in the pre-market hours. Particularly some specific stocks, I was always amazed to see some prints in the L2 or order book window that were completely out of line to the fair value of the stock(close of the stock adjusted for the ES or...

Fucking IB, the yield is actually 4%. Still, not bad for a less than 1 year lockup in the bond(US Tax free for non-resident aliens with a W8-ben)

I'm finding BAC bonds quite tempting. There is one issue that matures on Sep 2012, yields 5.31%(If I hit the ask). This seems a lot Its hard to a find a scenario where the debt of BAC is no good. No matter if there is recession or EU collapses. The debt is ahead of Warren Buffett This is...

I understand the "it hasn't worked in the past, people have failed with it" but every year that passes they get closer and closer to a death spiral. Assuming a rising debt to GDP ratio and interest rates that won't go negative(on the bonds), at some point interest payments will be larger than...

It seems that the flaw in this plan is that it assumes that market will be ok with buying more Japanese debt right after they monetized a good chunk of it. Furthermore inflation should be running higher than target after the monetization(Probably way higher) But if he wants the government to...

The weekly: Greece to default/restructure THIS weekend? thread

Austerity can work but it needs to be combined with very loose monetary policy. You avoid the rising debt to GDP ratios by having nominal GDP grow a lot But the ECB seems too committed to impoverish the nations they have control of the printing press

http://blogs.ft.com/martin-wolf-exchange/2010/06/13/does-japan-really-have-a-public-debt-problem/#axzz1dyq6xjNg Here Wolf raises a possibility for solving Japan's debt problem. Buying back its own debt after they decline(But first extending their avg maturity) I have never read about this...

Looks like I missed the boat on the Bund completely. At this point I wouldn't even buy it anymore, given that both France and the EFSF debt have been going down I'm not sure the Bund is all that safe from declines either

I'm a big believer that the only way to change the final path of the currency in a large way is fixing it done by a CB who can print it. This is not the case here, so it just seems to be that this is an instance of CB intervention of uncertain size. The difference between EUR parity and EUR at...

I'm not sure about this. China buying would be an effective temporary intervention, should make the EUR higher than otherwise would be but it won't affect its ultimate path(significantly) Like the Yen and the BOJ
