Its not about internalization, if they tried to get a better fill by sending the order around a few dark pools I would have no problem with that as a long the price improvement was decent(1 cent or more)

I was told orders with 0 offset do rollback, if the includes NYSE its unclear. IB wants to make sure they force you to use the API so they can make more in fees, thats why they don't give away a market making order type like that
