Many books (Amazon, ET), a lot of search (including ET), a lot of research, a lot of simulated trades, ask many questions (on ET or else), unlimited hours, etc., etc. --- Finally, may or may not get the right answers you want, because ... ! lol
Similarly, perhaps another icon (possibly be placed before Journals icon) would be "Newbies FAQ" in order to provide a list of informative topics/threads to new members. Otherwise, old members would not be interested in responding repeatedly to newbie questions of same nature, and new members...
An alternative :
Instead of a sticky thread per forum, perhaps only a small icon "Journals" next to each forum's name would be good enough.
The whole process could be fully automated, when covering only the (say) 10 (or selectable) latest journal threads.

I would think you should start soonest the same competition here on ET first before securing funding from ET. Traders currently doing very-short term trades can still use their same systems for your competition game, particularly when offering prizes.

I think ET prefers to attract more of very short time-frame players. Limited EOD players. Only few EOW players, if any. Just my guess.
