    China retaliation predictions?

Jawboning, phoney, lies... merely to manipulate the market in the short term. The real trade war, if there is going to be one, will continue for a long time. China is in the catbird seat and has virtually unlimited patience to work out the best deal they can hammer. Trump is facing an...

Monday pls come faster (a scalpers wish)

You've just highlighted the one of the biggest challenges in trading... "what to do about counters?".

Monday pls come faster (a scalpers wish)

That's not the point... which was.."$32,000 potential". How well did he do with that? (I wasn't going to say anything about his post because I presumed he was a noob who was proud of his catch... any catch at all. We see it all the time. Somebody makes a profitable trade and wants to tell it...

True. Less scary when you know what you're doing rather than just hoping.

Monday pls come faster (a scalpers wish)

I wasn't going to do this, but after reading through all of this thread... and because OP seems to be an asshat with a chip on his shoulder... let me point out. 1. He apparently took $640 profit in the NQ in 9 seconds on Friday. Nothing wrong with that. 2. He's tootin' his horn about it and...

    Another gap down. Thanks Trump.

China's definition of "balanced"... is that they keep the advantage they already have on the most important topics. Trump's running his mouth... "We're making progress." "I'm gonna win". Not so fast. The Chinese have LOTS of patience where Trump has practically none.

“Never before has a criminal phenomenon enjoyed widespread international support

“...Never before has a criminal phenomenon enjoyed widespread international support by governments, political parties, religious and civilian organizations, popular opinion, and never before has a sovereign state renounced to exercise control over its borders...” Francesca Totolo is a freelance...

The man betting on spectacular doom

Considering how easily the market can be jaw-boned up... plus the Fed's got a bit of room to lower rates again/QE4 (and you know how the markets like that)... doesn't seem like this guy has a "snowball's chance".

    Why covered call?

We're talking about "covered" calls. Whatever the underlying does, you also experience.... up to the strike price. Are there instances, say, where your strike price is $50... the stock goes to $55 over the next 2 weeks, but you haven't yet been called to deliver @ $50?

Someone asked "Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?"

We won't be far behind them if the Dems gain total power (as they are sure to) and their open borders policies flood us with illegal, ignorant, disease-ridden migrants. And that's not even including the Muslims... who in addition have sworn to kill or convert us. America should be fighting...

Who wins in a Trade War? China or US?

Ditto. With our "open borders" policies, America is going in the toilet! :(

Someone asked "Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?"

For most people who don't like Trump... really* don't like or even hate him... it's because their Lefty/Commie leaders have brainwashed them into doing/feeling whatever the Lefties want them to.... on both sides of the pond. Same question in America... the answer is because "they are told to"...

am i the only one or are there others who find it easier to pick tops than bottoms

It's often said, "Tops are a process. Bottoms are an event." I believe it's because of players' long-side bias. They resist negatives and try to "hold in there" as tops develop because they don't want to let go of their longs and miss out on further rally, if any. At bottoms players are...

    Tariffs are on.

It's crazy. The markets did a "knee-jerk flinch" on every "trade" comment... favorable or not... for months. Then, when the tariffs get implemented... the market goes "meh". (China's CSI 300 even popped >3.6% last night.) Go figure.

walk away : how to help liberals

A thousand times I've admired and marveled at what the genius Founders did for us. Unfortunately greed and power-lust are pissing it all away. :(

walk away : how to help liberals

Gray matter? That's for smart people. Don't you mean "brown matter"? And yes, I do want to see Trump win again so I can watch the Lefties melt down. :)

Arguments for certain profit targets for Intraday trading.

Disagree. It's frustrating to take a 2-point profit out of a 40-point move. It's bad enough when it happens because you get sucked out of a correct play, but it's even worse when "taking 1 or 2 points profit" is your strategy. One of my routine plays is to "risk 3 or 4 to make 12 or more"...

Arguments for certain profit targets for Intraday trading.

Have you ever heard of "cutting your losses short while letting your profits run"? When you use price targets, you're not "letting profits run".

    Micro volumes since launch

I don't think so. Too small to bother with.... plus the 1/4 pt tic. Then again, if the exchanges grants them dispensation to "steal only a little bit" by trading sub-tic for the rest of us, who knows? I was just kidding about the "5000-lot" in the ES. Too much slippage. Commissions and fees...
