I have bought Al Brooks' Trading Course

Hope it was a good dinner. So your wife is correct but the world's greatest trader is wrong? (you used the same argument elsewhere comparing Brooks and Victor N, so thought i would try it on you :D)

I have bought Al Brooks' Trading Course

This leads me to another point: having read The Alchemy Of Finance (first read it in 1995), i still can't trade like Soros (his less than 30% win rate is tough to endure for starters), but I can and have picked up info that has made me a better trader. In a similar vein, this is what i want to...

I have bought Al Brooks' Trading Course

You should read George Soros's The Alchemy of Finance, specifically his diary of where he explains what trades he took and why. If you can figure out what the hell he's on about, you are a better man than me! Funny thing is that if you did read that (actually not just you, anyone) and you...

I have bought Al Brooks' Trading Course

I'm looking for specific protocols that may enhance my own trading. I was perusing Brook's site, came across some free videos, watched one of them and some offhand comment that Brooks made was intriguing. I backtested the 'comment' and found it promising. Hence my interest in his course...there...

I have bought Al Brooks' Trading Course

I intend to study this course intently and see if there is anything that will enhance my trading. If not, I will request a full refund ($249). There are 36 hours of videos to watch. I'll make notes on each video with a critical eye. I intend to watch 3 to 4 hours a day. I will post my...

I am sick of these fake mentors

Thanks for advice. It's something he mentioned off hand in a video. I found it intriguing. Tested it out (went back years). Pretty good. Logical too. One of those 'why didn't i think of that' type moments. Thanks to Q3d for putting Brooks on my radar. I think he's genuine btw, certainly not a...

    Jim Simons Trashes Trend Following

If we assume they made exactly 35% every year after fees (say 40% performance fee and 5% management fee) and fees were deducted at the end of the year, then before fees they made 63.64% a year, over 11 years. If they started with a billion dollars and just kept compounding at 35% a year, the...

Al Brooks - Al Crooks, Charlatan

You haven't provided any evidence of fraud. You keep making accusations without anything to back them up. I truly hope Al brooks sees your allegation, finds your real identity and sues your arse for defamation.

Al Brooks - Al Crooks, Charlatan

The point was that VN himself is NOT a successful trader. Interestingly, VN has taught others and they are successful. This means that Brooks etc might also not be successful but may be capable of teaching others to be successful. I can live with this.
