I just let them expire and it looks like this was the best shot under present circumstances. I had had long ES futures however, and sold 1350/1340 EW put 3 days before expiration, so final result was lesser, but still acceptable.

I used to trade flies. The best results I had was with buying back body on dips and then selling them again. This works for normal market however, i.e. making corrections, not flying to the sky all the time :)

On positive side - it is good to know that only my country of origin brings some fun to the world when trying to do something smart :D Back to biz - Coach, can you show the numbers - min and max value for 1340/1350 EW/ES you have observed through the life of this spread ?

Coach, we are in the same boat now. I have 1340EW/1360ES as well. I`ve made some on ES futures, but the final depends on this spread. I know this sounds silly but is always nice to know that you are not alone in hot environment.

This feeling is common. If I open position against the bullish trend I`ll feel fine even if my calls get overrun, but if I opened puts ... I would kick myself if I could ;)

About 30-40 for calls and 60-70 for puts pts OTM. But sometimes I have problems as well. It comes and goes.

I understand you doubt, but no matter sometimes I have to leg in myself, at many times I get filled for 100-300 contracts, ES/EW 10 pts. spreads in the middle.

To get the most of it, yes. But only in specific trading range. You may also set GTC orders which would work if you don`t mind giving up of some small percentage.
