    IB bulletin alerts to customers

Was it actually limit down when he went long or was it slightly above (bounced or not there yet). There were a few glitches up in the first 1hr 15m after it touched down. It would certainly be nice to get a warning message ... but man, that is one flat line.

Over 75 years ago Wall Street Crashed; but today the New Crash is already underway...

You are a pompous long-winded twat. But enough facts. How screwed up is your precious Brazil now?

Al Gore - Democratic Party candidate in 2008.

Yes, the tendency to equate SouthAmerica with Long Winded Dipstick is a useful heuristic that can save one a lot of time.

    Financial turmoil news and trading

This says it all. If you were a trader you'd be glad you were making a living from trading in these times. What are you? Some kind of journalist or economist like that dipstick SouthAmerica?

Should Baron change this forum's name to "Complain about IB"

Excellent video. I think the title should be "Have a little girlish whinge about IB" Kiwi :)

    The stock_trad3r 2007-2008 market recession

Negative gdp would imply that there was negative production. So balance of payments if frequently negative but gdp ... is it ever negative? Recession requires two quarters of declining GDP (common definition). Depression requires 4 quarters (by one potential definition at least).

    The stock_trad3r 2007-2008 market recession

I am prepared to risk my reputation by predicting that, the field has been built, so if you just wait: it is coming to you soon (assuming you've got the brains to really mean a reduction in GDP not negative GDP).

IB data quotes price without volume

Acqua, download SierraChart or NinjaTrader. I'm pretty sure you can get a free week of SC to see if its showing the same problem. And the free version of NT seems to be showing volume pretty well.

    IB backfill is terrible!

PM one of the ib guys who responded to this thread and ask if its the same issue. It may take them time to respond if they have to get someone to figure it out --- I think that ib's systems are very complex so figuring out what causes what is probably extremely difficult.

    IB backfill is terrible!

Acqua, This is probably an entirely different problem. Backfill seems to be largely fixed but your issue is about data from a different server (live data right?) so its probably unrelated.

Would you ever trade a high probability, high risk method?

Lets get real. Most people trade for a rr of 2:1 or better and a lower win ratio. Its the common wisdom. What do we know about common wisdom: it's commonly wrong. So if you can find a strategy with 80% to 95% win ratio and a sub 1:1 rr then one good thing is most people will be doing...

Another whingy little girl. And self-deceptive as well. You hope nothing of the kind twat.

    IB backfill is terrible!

You are a bunch of whingy little girls. It makes one wonder how many of you actually trade ... and how many make money. My guess is very few and almost none. To a slightly different point. But so true:

    Cloning a hard drive

Just bought a terabyte of usb2 backup for under A$200. FWIW. If you haven't got disk imaging software yet you don't need to spend money on ghost or true image. Google Macrium Reflect. The free version will do everything that most traders require (save image, explore image, recover image...
