Looks like today might possibly be the day or tomorrow for sure to determine if we fail and break through those 8,300 low ranges.
Should be interesting to see if your prediction comes true.
I love Walmart's strategy of lowering the guidance and then conveniently "beat it". So funny, smart company.
For those funds that HAVE to invest in retail, they're going to be putting money in this WMT machine. It's like the t-bill safety net in the retail environment.
Yeah, but a lot of this was foreseen, especially by semi-smart individuals.
WMT is a good company, one of the few that's actually making money in this economy from a retailer.
I'm buying aggressively at these low levels.

What do you guys think of this?

We have DR Horton and other huge companies that build in my community. They sure have a lot of houses out there and were building like crazy.
$500 gets you into a new home. That's what they advertise. Crazy...
Good reasoning, I think long-term it will work out.
Instead I would have waited for a break down from the bottom trend line. Confirmation can't hurt, sometimes saves you.
Keep up the hard work, it'll pay off eventually.

Haha, yeah I haven't heard of that saying, but it makes sense, I'll have to file that one away for future use.
What are you using software wise to measure out the movements? I know that the 38% is the movement for D, but I mean the actual drawing tools for the chart.

The bottoms look similar to Victor's 2B pattern, chartists correct me if need be.
Seems to be forming a rectangle pattern on the recent moves. Should be interesting to see how it breaks out.
I don't think we'll see a run up to 10,000, not unless it blows past 9,500 which I think it'll...
Just got a question for any prop. firm/trader out there.
Is there a conflict of interest or any kind of laws that would restrict let's say a financial adviser (edward jones, Merrill, etc.) from trading as a prop. trader?
I don't prop. trade so I don't know the limitations/laws in regards...
I use to use them, I don't anymore but I still have an account.
They've raised their rates a bit, but from when I was last there they weren't bad. It just depends on what your trying to do.
Fills are good and quick usually. The platforms they use are not very complex. For the longest...
I've been reading and reviewing some of the books I have and I've got a question about the ABC pattern.
I don't have a program to detect them automatically or draw them automatically, so I have to do it by hand.
I understand their tied to fib ratios, but which ones exactly? (i.e. what...
Just asking a question, but have you ever looked at the money flow? Chaikin or otherwise.
Just off the top of my head, seems similar in principle with the A/D, would be interesting if you could apply your technique there and see the results.

Exactly.
It's completely idiotic in almost every sense, why not track you with a pedometer too? It's just another excuse not to innovate in the proper direction and instead trying to fix an old system that's going to eventually lose revenue for the state as more fuel efficient vehicles are...
Here is what I saw, I didn't draw everything or label everything because it would get all cluttered. Just labeled what I thought was important.
My questions are labeled on the chart. Am I seeing diamonds that aren't there or did I draw them wrong?
Are there big things that I'm...
I thought "credit card" companies didn't hold the debt but acted as middle men for the transactions.
It's the banks that will get reamed, not the credit card companies, if I understand the structure properly. The only one gets screwed is American Express as your not allowed to have a...
As of now I trade for myself. It is my primary source of income/paying the bills, $2k account. Stressful at times, especially with the last month or two, just because the market hasn't really moved and the stuff in congress just ends up screwing things up.
But hey, it's '09 and a...
Just a tip, most people don't do this but: take notes on trades you don't take.
See how they worked out, the reasons why you didn't take the trade, etc.
That way you'll also hone your skills on either capturing trades that could have been profitable and help separate the losses and why...
I'll probably get reamed for this but I think it depends on the size in which you play with.
For instance, I don't play with a lot of money for a number of different reasons, it's more of an experiment of mine, so I pretty much risk my whole account every trade. Pressure? yeah. But it...
