Designing an automated market for crypto options as an exercise: Tips on Black-Scholes?

Not quite sure I understand the Luna example. For Hegic, you pay in ETH, and then settle in ETH. There's no physical delivery of anything else, so payment for ITM positions comes from the locked collateral in the pool. Ex: you pay .1 ETH for 1 ETH call at 2000. 1 ETH of collateral is locked in...

Designing an automated market for crypto options as an exercise: Tips on Black-Scholes?

For the crypto enthusiasts this may not be new, but I'll try to gloss over some of the basics for others, perhaps skip ahead if you know the background. Long read, hope it's fun to think about at least. Automated Market Makers In the crypto space folks have developed decentralized exchanges...

POS and non POW coins pumping?

What do you mean suspect? Probably many will, but current recommendations from staking enthusiasts is for self-hosting for exactly this reason, since cloud interruptions will take many validators offline if they're too cloud reliant. I'm also leery of the narrative that PoS represents status...

Early assignment and pin risk basic questions:

If you choose to exercise an option early for whatever reason, is it instantaneous or settled overnight? For example, if the option was very illiquid but the underlying wasn't, and it was DITM, would it be possible to exercise and immediately close the stock position? How is it decided who...

Margin Account Interest Rates Fee Calculation - Day Trading Stocks

Margin is always quoted in APR, and AFAIK it is only done daily. There are plenty of APR calculators out there that can tell you what you would pay per day on a given loan. For 30 minute trades, interest should be the least of your concerns.

How to invest in an overvalued market

Like butterflies minus one wing. Buy 1 call, sell 2 calls above if you believe it'll go up, but not extremely. Can make a bull spread cheap or a credit. Good payout if it lands close to the short strikes, and you have zero exposure beneath the long strike. You can do 1:3 instead if you...

Automatic limit price in Order Entry window?

They can. It's complicated, but it's in there. I'm not sure exactly what you need, but I know I can bundle a trailing stop that is X ticks away from the sale price, etc.

Why are oil and commodity producers climbing faster than global stock market indices?

I read that when inflation comes, energy does well. Things that are most flexible in pricing, ya know.

How does the trading price of a SPAC relate to the price they pay for the company, merger, etc?

Gotta say, no idea, which is why I bet on it dropping at least. Such high IV, figure I'd sell some theta.

Automatic limit price in Order Entry window?

Yeah, it's configurable somewhere in there, not sure. I mostly use chart trader, though. I suggest the hotkeys if you really have to move that fast. For example, I have hotkeys set to B and S... B submits a buy limit order at the ask, S submits a sell limit order at the bid, etc. They have...

New to trading with high guarenteed income

I recommend for you specifically to use Robinhood, as it is incredibly simple. Use 2FA to ward off hackers. Buy SPY and only SPY. Invest any other money in rehabilitative psychiatric and mental health, as head trauma has many lingering effects.

How does the trading price of a SPAC relate to the price they pay for the company, merger, etc?

Noticing the drop in CCIV from 60 to 40 on confirmation of the merger news. Typical buy the rumour, sell the news situation, eh? Thankfully was not long. I did sell a ratio put spread for March though at 50 -2x40...it ended AH at 40, a month early for me to be perfectly at 40, but I guess I'll...

What kind of injury? And how could hackers steal from your brokerage? With that much it sounds like you could just...invest and hold and even get dividends.

Taking neutral positions with ES/SPY to improve tax treatment? First year paying taxes on profit.

Very fair. MIght as well just make extra profit instead of worrying about tax treatment, I suppose.
